Timely ton from Hunt, second of the Shield season, but still Shield average of 32 isn't a lot to commend him for a test role.

Imagine appealing like that for the most obvious not out of all time
Just made me check the weather forecast....haha.
5% chance of rain for the rest of the Test. Winviz is relying alot on that 5%...haha
Ponting had better fundamentals to fall back on when his eye and reflexes started to go. Also Ponting had more talent around him in the batting lineup so from a psychological point of view was less exposed.Feel like say Pontings decline versus what we currently see from Smith is an interesting comparison. Stats don't tell the full story or maybe I just remember Ponting through rose coloured eyes.
Feel like he looked capable still of having a good day , obviously didn't make as many runs but wasn't until the last tests v South Africa he looked complete dog shit. Smith to me just looks at sea and struggles to do anything most innings. Though he then pulls out a 90 odd or what have you , but really needs the other end held up while he gets going.
Maybe that's just bullshit, but he just looks to my naked eye to be at a point of no return. Felt like Ponting gave a bit of hope and then of course had a good summer under Clarke v India .
He was at least getting runs for Tassie when down a level
Time catches up to them all. However, what the likes of Greg Chappell, Steve Waugh, Ponting had on their side was a solid technique to fall back on when the eye started to fail. Smith doesn't have that, which is why his decline may come faster than those others. Same with Marnus.Feel like say Pontings decline versus what we currently see from Smith is an interesting comparison. 4 of them retired during and after that series and we at least in form. Current one we will have to chisel out or they won't go. Hayden tried to go on and his form just crashed.2006/07 had
Langer. 36
Hayden. 35
Ponting 32
Martyn 35
Hussey. 31
Clarke 25
Gilchrist. 35
Warne 37
Clark 31
Lee 30
McGrath 37
And we were cooked in the late 2000s/early 2010s.
Still had a few bad years when they left too4 of them retired during and after that series and we at least in form. Current one we will have to chisel out or they won't go. Hayden tried to go on and his form just crashed.
Henry Hunt tons up.Previously an Australia A, made a century on tour to SL?
Shield player of the year 2 seasons back.
A big ton at the Gabba plus 2 fifties last 4 matches this season
Knows how to bat long
Is an opener
Won’t pick him this summer I know, but I reckon he’s one that wouldn’t be phased by Test Cricket.
Reckon you've got to accept the cheating accusation to be fairHe’s actually neither
MMarsh will scupper that, the way he's goingTrav's percentage of the teams total is starting to put him in decent company in the Bannerman record.
Weatherzone. I have a feeling the 5% chance of rain when you scroll along the line must be generic as it was showing pretty sunny. BOM has 0% of rain.dunno what forecast you are looking at.
BOM is showing doughnuts chance of rain
