Yeah but Mark always made that good hundred when he looked like he was about to get droppedIt’s always been a boys club, how do you explain Mark Waugh getting 10+ years averaging 40 when there was 6+ players in Shield averaging 55

Richardson and Morris are back playing in the shield today
Green is fine and get in this side as a batter only...bowling is a bonus
marsh hasn't got the body to stand up in tests anymore IMO ...he want be around much longer
issue has been our 3 and 4 marnus and smudge have been average for years ......you can't perform when your 3 and 4 don't make tons
Yeah but Mark always made that good hundred when he looked like he was about to get dropped
Not sure if Ive ever seen a better pair of catching hands than him.To be fair though Junior was in the top 5 fielders we’ve ever had he saved 10-20 runs every test in fielding.
Marsh shouldn't of been playing Test cricket at all.
Not sure if Ive ever seen a better pair of catching hands than him.
What you mean the side that had Hayden, Langer, Ponting, Steve Waugh, Gilchrist, Warne and McGrath?
Well, of coarse.
That side would have beaten the best opposition from any era.
Unless the pitch has big cracks, it should be good for batting on day 4 and 5. India need a big lead. I wouldn't count out a good aus batting performance.
We could see a day 5 thriller.
I’ll nominate Viv Richards for sure but Junior was elite
One of my favourite stats has always been that Ian Redpath has a higher Test average than Mark Waugh.
Mark Taylor was good too.
Pretty good yes definitely better than having Khawaja trying to be a slip fielder lol
That’s a comedy
The 1979-1980 west Indian team that toured australia would have eaten that aforementioned australian team for breakfast .What you mean the side that had Hayden, Langer, Ponting, Steve Waugh, Gilchrist, Warne and McGrath?
Well, of coarse.

Mark Taylor was a world-class slips fieldsman, honestly he was. He took some gems throughout his career. When he retired in 1999 he held the record for the most catches by a non wicket-keeper.
Imagine as a bowler - Warne and McGrath for example seeing Taylor and Mark Waugh in the slips....as a bowler the confidence would grow.
Kallis is always underrated in these discussions people forget how good he was in the field too but agree on Tubby a great slipper
We have McSweeneyYeah I was thinking that ....can I dream of chasing 400 plus on a Perth pitch...SA did it years ago....but they did have Ab Devillers
