If ROK's in your price range, id be leaning towards him before Chapman.
In saying that Chapman will pull a 150 out of nowhere, then be withdrawn from the team for Stevie J next week

Any advice for my dilemma on the previous page? Really leaning towards Option 4 and i feel bad that my post was such a monster post in length lol

Yeh I see that happening too.... If i was to go with ROK I could afford up to Scotland in the backs (gives me another premium option -> might even put him on for Newman or something...)

oooo what about Hayes and Kosi? think that fits into ur price range? not many forwards below 250k.... : |

EDIT: out of interest Kosi is averaging 71.6 without his 8 in rd. 4 (where he was injured)

Bloody Purgoyne and SJ!!!!!!

Here I was thinking I'd upgrade Grimes to Goddard - and have a trade left for GF!!

Now i'll be using both and having to start Hill. and trading out SJ and Grimes

Thoughts on the combos below

Goddard and McGlynn/Bob Murphy
Hargrave/Enright and Fevola/Davis

Gut feel says get Goddard and McGlynn

bumpity bump :D

Enright and Davis.

Mainly cos Enright is such a gun and the extra few k get you a good forward option. wouldn't touch fev - likely to pull a 40 this wk or next (i've been there in past years...).

I need a mid and a forward and I've got 2 trades and 149,000 in the bank

Current Mids

Selwood, Sewell, Hasleby, Black, Anthony, Cross(396,400) and Rich, Muston on the bench

Current Forwards
Deledio, Davis, Franklin, Goodwin, Pav, S Johnson(337,300), M Brown(230,700) and Krakouer and Wright on the bench

If I trade Cross and Brown I'll play Krakouer this week and hopefully Johnson comes back next week. In this situation I'd probably look at something similar to Reiwoldt and Judd

If I trade Cross and Johnson I'll have to play Krakouer both weeks but have an extra 106k to work with. In this situation I'd probably look at something similar to Reiwoldt and Montagna

Love your opinion on this guys:

I need to move Ryder on for a defender,. I only have 1 trade left but I have $130k, so I can afford anyone that I don't currently have. My defence is:

Goddard
Hodge
Cornes
Enright
Drummond
Hill

I'm thinking Andrew Embley as he has a terrific record against the Crows of late (avg about 105 over the past 9 games), but then he is one streaky MoFo.
Who would you choose?

First option for mine. Covers you for next week if you get through, plus the fact that 1. Juddy has 2 easy weeks approaching and 2. There is no danger of him being "rested" as the Blue boys still have hopes of a top 4 finish...

want to trade grimes, money is not a factor, 3 trades left, going for league win.
already have goddard, gram, enright, hodge, lockyer, broughton (wilson, petrenko- bench)

main options seem to be embley, duffield, hargrave, mackie.

carrazzo could be a bit of a smokey. we know in the past he can rack up big scores.

thoughts?

Grimes to Goddard or Enright? Obviously Goddard is a DT god, but my opponent already has him, and I need to win this game... My last trade...

WHIR (will help in return)

2 trades left w 94k. In prelim for two leagues - I have slightly better team in both. But it's close.

1. Grimes-> McNamara and Ballantyne-> Chapman (Steve Johnson on bench)

or

2. Steve Johnson -> Okeefe (Ballantyne as emergency. Saves me 1 trade and 30k for GF)

Is 1 trade + 30k + Ballantyne emergency better than 20pts better average chapman is over OKeefe? Brad Johnson, Aker or Mitch Clarke better than oKeefe?

Other forwards that I have are: Riewoldt, Didak, Deledio, Neon, Pav, Higgins, Steve J / Ballantyne Bench: Ruffles (out)

Am I crazy to consider trading in Fev?
SJ out really screws up my forward line (also have M.Brown and Hogan out).
Can do Hogan > Fev, hoping SJ comes back next week.
Must win prelim and Fev's 124 last 3 game average and 104 last 5 game average is very very tempting. Also, he plays the Dees and the Crows.

I've actually had Fev all year. and not regretting it. You wear a few bad games because he gets 130+ when he is on. He could be huge against dees this week.

Personally I don't like fev he can get you 30 on a bad day I think there are better players to choose then him.

Hmm, 2 trades left, into the PF for the Minor Premiership in one comp, nothing left in the other. Scored my second highest score last week (highest came in the round 10 bonanza) of 2095.

I'm thinking of downgrading Hill (MID EMG) because I still have Muston as cover though I doubt I'll need him, and then I can upgrade Dawson in my backline to whoever I want. If I do this, who should I pick?

I'd do SJ > ROK mate.
Chapman could easily re-injure himself this round and then you'd be screwed for the GF.

x2 i think ROK is a good chance to post a massive score this week agaisnt the pies at the MCG.

He has scored 82 and 103 there in his two games this this year and scored 149 agaisnt the pies earlier in the year.

Enright ? I like Embley but I don't know if he will last the 2 games haha

Agree. Hopefully Fev doesn't assume he will kick plenty and not do the hard work required. I don't mind him kicking a bag tomorrow, even though it's against Melbourne. I have 2 prelims to win.:)

But he's playing Melbourne, under the roof at the Dome if need be.
And with the Dogs playing Geelong, Carlton have a chance for 4th place.
AND his hot form of late and Carlton's good form with great supply from Judd, Murphy and Gibbs...

All make me feel he is in for a big one.

EDIT: And will Melbourne even be trying? They don't want to lose their priority pick.

Ugggh...

Cross to either Ablett/Swan/Montagna...

and

Grimes to any back Gram/Hargrave/Duffield/etc

Really don't know what to do, whoever I bring in will be captain but I'm scared about Swan vs Sydney and I hate having Friday night captains..

i think people should consider buddy as a serious option if they dont have him already.

hawks still looking to make the finals (questionable)
and in the next 2 weeks they play richmond and essendon, two teams that in the past he has ripped apart

im considering trading skipworth for him this week
