I'm tipping Wojak + 42 + 56 to North in return for Smith + 37.

That would leave us with picks 17, 28, 37, 40 in the draft.

That would be fair and I'd do it.

Whether North will want a 29 year old, given where they are (not) in their premiership window, is the critical question as to whether this will happen.

It indicates there's a good chance by the time we come to talk to wojo next week, we'll discover we have no money (or $60k + match payments which he rightly wouldn't take), and thus he goes for nothing.

So to prevent this I think there'll be a trade tomorrow if we can get a fair deal.

I agree with you though....I don't want to lose Wojo.
Some solace is the imminent return of Hunt though.

Nah they won't give us a pick like that with the player. I think they will want 28 + another pick but we will force them to take 40 + 42 or one of those + 56. No idea about Wojak though, they wouldn't pursue him methinks we would have to convince them to take him. Or we could offer Wojak to Vossy, the man will trade for anything.

Well there has been talk about Bris getting involved in the Wojo/Smith as a 3 way trade, so you never know.

I don't know about giving up Wojak, who is fit and playing ok for an unknown quantity in Smith. I don't think Smith is worth the swap of players, maybe picks, but not players.

haha well i think itd be worth while using west as the 2nd and simpson as the back up, and draft one with pick 17 or 20, but obviously that trade wasnt lodged/talked about.
but really 6 one half dozen the other in my opinion

Bollocks.

A) West Coast don't have pick 20
B) WCE and Freo (who do have pick 20) are not exactly in need of a ruckman.

That said, I would have liked if anyone offered us a pick of this value for Blake, but once Mummy went we were never going to trade him.
