Re: Round 2 trades

well if you have brown or lecras inthe forward line then a trade must be used.. obviously.

i have lecras and my options are (with my current remaining salary cap)

j. riewolt
gilbert
grundy
silvia
s. stevens
l. jetta
fyfe
dangerfield
tapscott

these guys are the ones im considering. i can either go with someone around the same price who will hopefully keep a good average or a younger bloke that has shown promise but might be a good cash cow to later upgrade to swan in the mids.

thoughts?

Re: Round 2 trades

J. Riewoldt would be my preferred option out of those, with Sylvia second. It really depends upon bye impacts as well.

Downgrading to Tapscott might be an interesting option, but you're setting yourself up for a few weeks of falling behind on the overall score by not picking up another potential premium.

Re: Round 2 trades

I've got him too, but my options are more restricted because of bye issues. I'd add ROK and J. Riewoldt to your list of potentials... but personally if I had that list I'd bring in Pavlich straight away.

I'm probably going to hold on to him for another week and see if Chapman comes back and scores well or how Didak goes. My other option is to bite the bullet and go to J. Riewoldt this week.

If he does he will have Roo, Buddy and Pav warming the pine come round 6.

Nah it's hawks/freo/cats round 6. Saints have a bye rd 4.

Agree with the others, apart from an LTI there shouldn't be any trading round 1, as tempting as the idea to correct a flaw is. 1 round of information is no where near enough.

I'll be looking at trading rookie to rookie round 2 but does really depend on how Atley -> Curnow perform.

Still worried bout Curnow's JS though.

St Kilda's bye is Round 4. It's Geelong, Hawthorn and Freo in Round 6.

im currently considering riewolt although i know he will be getting a lot of attention if he keeps his current form.

I didn't put him in my team at the start of the year because of this reason. He will cop a lot more attention this year, I wouldn't read too much into him kicking half a dozen or so against Carlton, because if Richmond got KB out of retirement for that game he would of kicked that many as well. Like everyone has been saying give it a week or so to see how things go.

Re: Round 2 trades

Thinking at the moment is Easton Wood out for Mark Nickoski.
Wont make a final decision until Friday.

well i have lost lecras hence needing to make a trade. my other premiums are n.riewolt, buddy and goodes.

Re: Round 2 trades

Didn't want to have to burn a trade so early, but I gotta trade Shultz ($360,00) out as he is injured. Just not sure who to trade in. Not sure whether to go a rookie or upgrade ($125,000 cash remaining). Any suggestions?

Man, Supercoach can be stressful.

Re: Round 2 trades

J Brown has to go.

Who would you trade for out of Rioli or Goodes? :confused:

I'd probably take Rioli out of those two. No sign Goodes is coming out of his exile in the forward line yet.

Do you can cover on the bench for this week ??? Dangerfield looks ready to have a big impact this year, but I would give him another week before pulling the trigger. Trapscott (SP) also seems to be a flavour of the months, and would prob leave you enough $$$ to upgrade someone else

Re: Round 2 trades

If Yarran and R Shaw bomb out again next week I'm contemplating this trade(s)

R Shaw>J Toy
C Yarran>R O'Keefe

Or alternatively

C Yarran>L Tapscott
R Shaw>B Deledio

Thoughts?

too hard to say just now wihtout seeig Toy yet and the other guys only 1 game.

Well I'm gonna be going by what role Shaw's playing. If he's playing another stopping role then that's probably the role Longmire has him set for all year, so no good for SC. If he's playing a running-off-half-back role then he could come good.

I should have enough cover on the bench for this week. I've heard that Shultz will be out around 8 weeks. You think I should hold off until next week to make sure I make the right decision?

Correct me if I'm wrong guys, and if i am I'm stuffed, but there's no Supercoach rounds 4,5,6,16 & 19 (all the rounds where 3 teams have the bye). So it adds value for those players who have byes in those rounds...means they dont have byes in rounds that count.

Below is from the 'What's new, important 2011 format changes' from the login page of Supercoach.

April 15 to May 1, 2011 (Rounds 4 to 6)
- non League Head-to-Head rounds (league 'byes');

July 8 to July 10 (Round 16);
- non League Head-to-Head round (league 'bye');

July 29 to July 31 (Round 19);
- non League Head-to-Head round (league 'bye');
