Any highly rated prospects with LARS knees or perhaps had a shocking leg break they might never recover from? ;)

Maybe give Tonya Harding as few $$$ to organise an 'accident' for Boyd so he'll slide?

Knowing our luck ... it will turn out to be a Mr. Burns/Moe scenario and will fix his leg injury :(

I'd be happy with either one of Crouch/Dunstan/Salem/Acres around our selection, however, I'd also be considering a slider who falls out of the Top 12 such as: KoloK, Lennon, Freeman.

It would be like getting Menzel all over again.

KK, Lennon and Freeman from all reports are going top 10, so not liking our chances there.

Don't know anything about any of the kids so consequently don't much care who we get...but I hope like hell we add some genuine competitors to the list. Far too man mild mannered types at present. Who among the mids expected to be there at our first has a bit of prick about them?

Ben Cavarra - Morrish Medal, Captained a great Ranges team to a premiership, Vic Metro bog v QLD, bog in TAC Cup Grand Final. Yes he is short at 173cm, tough inside mid with speed that is a great tackler. Lots of phantom drafts have hm being overlooked / 40+ in live or rookied, hope we take him as our last live pick or he is still there in the Rookie. Plays like Brent Harvey and fills a need, hope we dont overlook him because he is too small.

I don't think all of them will be Top 10.

One (if not two) of them will slide out of the top 10, whether or not they make it as far as 13 though is another question.

Which is why the first batch I named (Crouch, Dunstan, Salem Acres) would be most likely.

KK and Freeman have rocketed up the phantom draft lists. From in the late teens to top 10 (KK @ 5-10, FM @ 6-15 range), also I'm not getting the love for Victoria's top talent over say SA...in the recent phantom drafts.... Can someone provide some insight?

McKay saying we'll hit the draft trying to draft a KPF. Indication we may take McCarthy if he's there at 13 - although some have him bolting as high as 7.

If he's gone by 13 (likely), we'd be crazy not to jump on one of the sliders (potentially Freeman, Salem, Lennon or KK). Grab a KPF in Hourigan at 32 or draft Thorp with our 3rd/4th (or even rookie).

I am still convinced that the selections in front of our will go something like this;

1. GWS Tom Boyd
2. GWS Josh Kelly
3. Saints James Aish
4. Dogs Mathew Sharenberg
5. Gold Coast Marcus Bontempelli
6. Collingwood Jack Billings
7. Lions Christian Salem
8. Nth Luke McDonald
9. Melb Nathan Freeman
10. Collingwood Kade Kolodjashnij
11. W.Coast Dom Sheed
12. Richmond Ben Lennon or Cameron Mcarthy
13. Carlton ???

Lennon or Mcarthy I would be happy with. Both offer a point of difference from our list. MM has his wish and added midfield depth with Thomas and Docherty provide that.

I think the top 6 or locks with Bontempelli the bolter. I am convinced Sheed will be at W.Coast with the juggling of picks.

Salem, Freeman and KK I think will roll out the top 10, not sure of the order.

TC has a phantom draft thread and I just put this together. Not claiming to have any draft expertise but if reading a million write ups and watching clips classifies as interesting for you, here's my top 20:

1. GWS - Tom Boyd
2. GWS - Josh Kelly
3. StK - Billings
4. WB - Aish
5. GC - Scharenberg
6. COL - Bontempelli
7. BRI - Kolodjashnij
8. NM - MacDonald
9. MEL - Salem
10. COL - McCarthy
11. WC - Sheed
12. RIC - Lennon
13. CAR - Crouch
14. GWS - Freeman
15. SYD - Taylor
16. GEE - Acres
17. FRE - Dumont
18. StK - Hartung
19. StK - Gardiner
20. GC - Dunstan

Have factored in teams with multiple picks taking a risk with team needs (StK and Pies).

Decided to have a go at the first round and it was harder than expected.

1. GWS - Tom Boyd
2. GWS - Josh Kelly
3. StK - James Aish
4. WB - Jack Billings
5. GC - Kade Kolodjashnij
6. COL - Marcus Bontempelli
7. BRIS - Matt Scharenberg
8. NM - Luke McDonald
9. MEL - Nathan Freeman
10. COL - Matt Crouch
11. WC - Dom Sheed
12. RIC - Christian Salem
13. CAR - Luke Dunstan
14. GWS - Darcy Gardiner
15. SYD - Ben Lennon
16. GEE - Blake Acres
17. FRE - Cam McCarthy
18. StK - Lewis Taylor
19. StK - Billy Hartung

Would be happy to get Dunstan at 13, but reckon will want Crouch, Salem and Freeman (in that order) if they slide. Would love Lennon as well, but I reckon he might be more of a HBF at the end of the day.

A lot are saying we should grab the best available midfielder, others are saying we haven't drafted a decent goalkicker since Fev and should thus take a punt on McCarthy...

Would Jon Marsh be too much of a reach? On potential, sounds like the next Pavlich/Goodes but is something of a project player?

Has poor marking ability and plays like a HFF from what I've read about him. Mckay has already said that we will grab the best available.

The word is that he wont be sliding past Richmond - Looks like he is our designated selection if available from whats being posted around the Tiger forums

I'd give my left #$@ for Freeman. He could be our next Judd, and, he's a Vic Kid. There are no KPP's worth a dose of salt outside of Boyd and McDonald. McCarthy is too slight and will take a few years to develop. Best mid has to be the focus for 13.

Would like Ben Brown in the 2nd and Impey in the 3rd. Thorp not on our radar is my understanding unless he makes the PSD or Rookie. Kids, kids, kids for the ND and 2 upgrades.
