Definitely need to draft ourselves another small forward. Became patently clear after Menzel went off injured. Especially if Garlett is gone/traded.

Have there been any goal sneaks in this pool that may still be a bit raw and go later in the draft?

Definitely need another KPP. Whilst Rowe and Jamison have the positions down and Giles is developing another KPD would be good to start developing.

However I like the sound of McKenzie, especially since he's a Carlton fan due to Warren. If we could have McKenzie and Giles developing as our talls at both ends. And Watson ready to go at either end we won't be in a bad place KPP-wise.

Atm Henderson needs another KPF. Jaksch IMO plays best at CHB.

Maybe C Daniels (SA) small @ 165cm. gets the ball, works hard. Did well during the championships this year.
Should still be around late as he is considered small.

Damn been on McKenzie with our 2nd pick for months. Not looking good at this stage with his form. My man Laverde BOG today:)
Laverde was immense today. Thought Ellis was good before he went off at half time. Viojo Rainbow was solid all day. Payne smashed Lamb who did nothing all day

Thought Rice came into the game late for Dandenong. Could be a solid FS selection next year.

Time to get the bandwagon going?

Thanks for update, do you see Rice as a similar type of player as his dad?

McKenzie is fast becoming this years Bontempelli, we will have to pull the trigger on him at #6 if we really want him.

If we were smart, we'd downgrade our #6 to #10 and #17 (from the Suns).

#10 - Ahern/Marchbank/Laverde

#17 - McKenzie/Lamb

What do you mean?
That comes across as though you're smart but the recruiters aren't :)

McKenzie? Would we? Should we?

Your point being? :)

I've done a fantastic job so far for Essen.......errr ... yeah.

FWIW I think we should on McKenzie provided he tests well at the Combine.

He is what we have been crying out for in a KPF monster who is seemingly a good contested mark and kick for goal.

Given his position, his specs, his family history - and the fact that this time last year people laughed at the "reach" of taking a player like Bontempelli at Pick #6 - I think it makes a compelling argument to pull the trigger on this lifelong Carlton fan at #6.

We don't want to be like the Bulldogs and cry every time we watch the Reid's play and constantly remind ourselves of the "what if?".

Yes, yes.............we know all about you. Do...do...do....ro :)

Probably shouldn't be putting this here but there have been suggestions as to why we may steer away from McKenzie.
May all be crap and would love to be put straight if that isn't exactly the case.

I haven't read the suggestions, however, four months ago, if you had of told me we would pick up a 196 cm, 100 kg, Contested marking KPF monster who was the leading goal kicker in the TAC and who supported Carlton with our first pick - I'd have been over the moon.

Then we can wait for his brother to come through the ranks and get into his ear - he's supposed to be even better.
