I would take 21 and Hunt for Stanley and 41.
would then flip 22 and 60 to Port for Oshea and 37.
on trade 37 for Membrey and 39.

Leaves us with 1,21,37 - Hunt, O'shea, Membrey.
Then you can looks at armo for 12. Or could Look at armo, stanley and 41 for 14, 21 and hunt.

Just need the beams deal to be done so other dominos can fall....

Ah, so many crazy trade idea here...

If GWS are oK with 4/7 for 1 (IF)..

And we want Boyd....

Boyd + 7

=

Player + 1

They turn 7 into 1

So the player we compensate them on for Boyd doesn't have to be of his ilk (obviously can't be a hack)

jaxons has a very good track record (see below). Stanley gone IMO.

Either Kelly or Billings will be a Saint guaranteed.
Let's not speculate on the rest as depends on other clubs but we are confident we will have 2 very good players.

The moment the players organised dwarfs at Mad Monday Watters position was untenable.
For those smart enough to realize who the dwarfs were representative of shows how the coach is viewed by the playing group.
We need to bite the bullet now and change things before 2014 becomes a waste of time.

Get ready for this deal.
Shane Savage and Hawthorn's first pick for McEvoy.
Likely to be announced in next day or so.

jaxons said:
I think he (Longer) will be a St.Kilda player very soon.
I also think Darren Jolly also as a delisted free agent.

jaxons said:
All so negative here people, and impatient.
We will get Longer and Bruce and we will be holding all picks under 20.
Have some faith and relax.
So far everything I have told you has materialised.

Are you comparing someone who's played 1 decent game with 4 players on our list who have performed (more or less) week in, week out for a long period of time?

Don't comprehend that.

I would much rather see Stanley go rather than the four you mentioned.

Picking up Membery to play the forward role.

We still have Hickey and Longer and gives us that second pick inside 22 even if we don't trade Pick 1.
You don't trade Rhys out now, you cant be that stupid to think that surly..

If peltch wanted to trade him he would of done it 3 years ago, however peltch knows talent and knows he isn't going to sell Rhys.

I will be gutted if we trade him, should I done it 3 years ago as I said if we were ever going to do it. He's the most picked on bloke at our club who was 17th in the league in contested marks and we never freaking target him.

I'm just thankful we don't have an idiot list manager who would do the move

I believe we've already knocked back one offer for Rhys this trade period, so it will be interesting to see if we take this one up. If we were certain of getting one of Boyd (unlikely) or Wright then I'd very strongly consider it and would think pick 21 is about right for him, especially if that's all they got for Christensen! Would prefer to somehow wrangle my way up to their first rounder though of course.

Let's say multiple trades go down and we shift #1, Armo, Stanley, #41 and #60 for #4, #7, #21, O'Shea and Membrey...

Further, let's say we take Wright, Lachie Weller and De Goey with the picks...

Feasibly our Round 1 side could be:

FB: Geary - Delaney - Dempster
HB: Newnes - Fisher - O'Shea
CR: Savage - Curren - Montagna
HF: Billings - Riewoldt - Membrey
FF: Wright - Bruce - Templeton
RK: Hickey - Dunstan - Steven
Int: Ray - Wright - Ross - Schneider

And @ Sandy:
FB: Webster - Simpkin - *****
HB: Shenton - Roberton - *****
CR: LWeller - MWeller - Acres
HF: De Goey - White - Markworth
FF: Pierce - Lee - Siposs
RK: Longer - Minchington - Murdoch
Int: Holmes - Gilbert*

This will be another big boy-esque back lash if it happens, then everyone will take a breath, look at the deal and realise that Pelican knows what he is doing.

If Geelong has offered pick 21 that is just the start IMO. We will be trying to get pick 14 out of them.

Stanley + pick 40 for pick 14

Geelong's intent to reinforce its stock of versatile tall forwards and rucks has it poised to not only recruit Mitch Clark for a resurrection of his career, it is also in talks with St Kilda over athletic ruckman/forward Rhys Stanley.

The Cats are in discussions with the Saints over a possible trade which would see them hand over pick 21, which they have just received from the Brisbane Lions for Allen Christensen. Whether the Cats would receive something else in the trade is unclear.

St Kilda are open to talks on a possible move as it considers all avenues to securing more early picks in the draft.

Stanley, a supremely quick player who won the grand final sprint despite being a ruck/forward, has struggled to play football consistently to the standard he has shown he is capable. He is versatile as a tall player, having rucked and played key forward and back.

The Saints had been linked with Cam O'Shea in talks, but while they were keen on the player they were more interested in retaining draft picks and bringing more picks in than trading their picks for players.

The Saints remain an interested observer in developments at Greater Western Sydney and in particular with the Tom Boyd-Ryan Griffen negotiations as well as Kristian Jaksch's likely move to Carlton.

Depending on how matters pan out there, if GWS ends up with picks four and seven it would look to bundle the two picks together and offer them to St Kilda for pick one. The Saints would do that deal.
