I can handle players struggling to adjust in the first couple of years but only 2 months ago he is out after 5 and lies about it. I just can not see Rocky, Redden Rich etc. doing this at their career level. I hope our NO Dickhead policy holds firm here as much as I reckon he is a competitive player. No more loose cannons please...

In the short hours since I wrote this, I have decided that the only way I could get through this, is to convince myself through mind trickery to embrace him now. I am now officially on the Mitch "Cute as all ****" Robinson band wagon. Come on up big fella, we love rangas here. Make it happen.

Damn I had forgotten about the ranga factor. If Mitch forgets about dying his hair fora while he should be a certainty for the Lions.

A grade what? :D
A Grader

That broken nose and those beady eyes a bit too close to each other just makes him even more adorable.
It's the Spock ears. Like a sweet little pixie, he is.

To be fair, if I was getting into punch ups at all hours of the morning, I wouldn't tell Malthouse the truth either. I think lying in this circumstance was warranted and completely excusable. I don't want someone who is just going to openly admit things.

I firmly believe that the key to Paddy leaving Melbourne, is to be closer to his Wife's family who live in Brisbane, who is struggling with the ASADA investigation and has never forgiven EFC for the supposed threat they posed to their child. Along with Paddy wanting to be out of the lime light. I feel Port doesn't make sense, there is no bigger media focus ATM and he and Angus Monfries being 2 essendon players at the one club, will draw a lot of media attention as this saga rolls on with the whole - "how does Port now suffer in all this" speculation.

I strongly believe he will opt to come to brisbane, the problem will be what we are prepared to give up in return and if GWS can trump us significantly at the trade table.

Methinks you are trying too hard when the fellow is currently a Blue Beast of Disdain not a Brisbane Beastie of cuddlesome aspect ...

Like Merrett.

Two thoughts:

1. No to Blease. I was a fan pre-draft but he has been exposed as a total one way runner. Don't need a player like that. Also not an A grader.

2. I still don't believe Sydney. I reckon they're right into Ryder.

I don't think we need someone who actually does them in the first place. I think a strong culture is good but some people seem to bring their own culture with them. I don't think Mitch's upside outweighs his history.

Don't believe so, but Carlton are chasing him

The news report was that Carlton enquired about him but shelved their plans after finding out he was already on a substantial contract.

There was an update this morning following an interview with their footy ops manager (?). Said they were in talks with Mitchell's family but weren't actively trying to dislodge him. More offering greater opportunity should he feel that way inclined.

He's just misunderstood. We're talking maybe 1, 2, maybe 35 incidents, hardly criminal.;)

Not a fan of the "A grade talent" restriction, if indeed it was any more than a throw-away line.

Lots of B grade talent out there who would improve our side's depth. Lots of C grade talent who might fill a need better than our existing stocks.

And if Leppa really meant "we won't be trading for duds", then I hope that wouldn't need saying.

Think there is a grey area unexplored here.

By "Only bringing in A graders" I think Leppa meant "we arent going to just bring in anyone who wants a new club just for the hell of it, they have to be able to offer us something that the players on our list already don't". There is the "depth" argument of course but it sounds like that is something they'd rather do through the draft.

Jimmy Toumpas' value has to be a first round Draft pick, but is certainly not pick 4. What do people theorize would be a fair trade for both sides?
there really isn't a lot of evidence to support your statement - especially if you take the GH5 as an example. I'd say 2nd round.
