I hope it is not true that Carlton were up in Brisbane speaking to James Aish?. He is struggling to hold his spot in the Brisbane team and has serious attitude issues (prima donna). Are we now going to give Brisbane pick 1 & 2 for next years draft? I hope not. On the other hand if Gibbs is offered as a straight swap, I am on board. They can have Jones as well.....

'IF' we finish bottom this year then Aish walks to the PSD to us for nothing. As much as it pains me to the think about another wooden spoon first pick in the psd is our ace in the deck should things go pear shaped in trade discussions and we can then politely ask them to bend over.

Aish isnt in a good head space up there either which would be affecting him quite i bit i think. If your not happy your not happy thats life, and personally good on carlton for going to see him, beats sitting on our hands with our fingers crossed hoping 'pick us pick us'....

President Mark LoGiudice had said the club would consider all options in a rebuild, opening the door to the possibility midfielder Gibbs, in the first season of a five-year contract, and even Murphy could be traded by new list manager Stephen Silvagni in return for high draft picks and a chance to rebuild from scratch.

Gibbs, who joined Murphy six minutes into the press conference, denied he and the skipper could be traded.

"Marc signed a four-year deal, I signed a five-year deal. I think that showed where we want to be, and I don't think the club would have signed us up if they knew we didn't want to be here," Gibbs said.

"I don't think he (LoGiudice) said that at all."

From the limited reading matter on the pool of players in the upcoming draft, there doesn't appear to be much in the KPP stocks, it's more of a "midfielders delight" type of year.

Aish is a jet, absolutely killed it in some games last year. Dominated against men in the SANFL too as an 17/18yr old.

He doesn't want to be in Brisbane and his form is showing it. I hope he continues to play 2s and his value plummets and we give up our 2nd rounder + steak knives for him. This is if we would want to come to us (which is hard to see why he would).

Has a big future ahead of him.

If we're rebuilding, i reckon this is a solid start.

I like it, however if we have pick 1, or even pick 2 or 3.. It needs to be best available player, if there is a standout gun midfielder and the best KPP is rated 7th or 8th we need to take the midfielder.

I would also hope we get in some more top end picks, only having 1 real selection in a draft means we are paying a whole heap of coin to a recruiting department that are not doing a lot.
