Tutt's greatest flaw is his effort and fitness, if he didn't make it to so many contests he wouldn't have so many chances to panic with the ball

From his 13 games, Jason Tutt was in the top 15 for tackles, kicks, marks and handballs at the club last year.
Sorry to shout but this Tutt the Spud trope is really beginning to annoy me.
I think he's saying that Tutt's strength is also his weakness...
I can't be arsed going through the whole team's numbers but his disposal efficiency was on par with Cripps and Boekhorst and slightly higher than Murphy's. I get that people remember his howlers - and he had a few - but he also did some good work. His numbers really improved across the board after establishing himself in the side at the midpoint of the season.Mezz, were there any stats with respect to the percentage of Tutt's handballs/kicks that ended up with a teammate? His disposal is SHITE.
This year being in possession of the ball was often a poisoned chalice for Carlton players, particularly if you took possession somewhere around the wing & looked inside F50 only to see a couple of opponents & no Navy Blue jumpers within cooee. It makes you wonder if our players were scared of being off-side.Tutt makes an effort and he's not afraid to tackle, he just looks like he shits himself when he has the ball...like **** what the **** do I do with this
As opposed to arguing over cartoons that were old when colour TVs were first sold? You people should stop beating yourself up over those players you don't rate.
I see. I think.I think he's saying that Tutt's strength is also his weakness...
53 percent of the 76 percent of people that think 80 percent of stats are only 11 percent accurate are right only 43 percent of the time .... stats don't always tell the whole story. In my view, he's a good tryer, he has a crack, but unfortunately he doesn't quite seem up to the level.I can't be arsed going through the whole team's numbers but his disposal efficiency was on par with Cripps and Boekhorst and slightly higher than Murphy's. He was hardly Robinson Crusoe there, sadly. I'm going to hold off judging him for another 12 months - another preseason and an extra 12 months getting to know his team mates quirks may see some solid improvements from him.Fair enough. There'd be a qualitative distinction in the case of Murph and Crippa though - a lot of their disposals are under intense pressure when they've just won a contested ball. Tutt, over and over, burnt the ball when he was free and clear and kicking under no pressure. I'll concede he did improve somewhat as the season progressed. Missed some sitter goals too.
colour what?As opposed to arguing over cartoons that were old when colour TVs were first sold?
You take that back.As opposed to arguing over cartoons that were old when colour TVs were first sold?

Haha. I guess if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Here's my childhood favourite:You take that back.
Oh. I actually liked Jordan Russell.....You're more generous than me. Fingers crossed his confidence grows and his disposal improves. I fear Mick's desperation to recruit more run has seen us lumped with Jordan Russell 2.0.
Me too.Oh. I actually liked Jordan Russell.....

A foot fracture in round nine and a broken toe on return didn't help his cause.I laughed when the pies took him off our hands (for a pick in the 900s that we didn't use). What was it - about 5 games in black and white before they realised that his panicking under pressure wasn't gonna change and they never picked him again.

It's not that I don't rate him, it's just that he doesn't offer us anything we don't already have in Defence (though he may be better than Jaksh, Everitt).Lamb is a small forward too. I think you're saying you don't rate Plowman. Average pick 3 or not, for pick 20 it's a damn good deal.
