Isn't the suggestion with Plowman that he'll develop into a big bodied mid ala Mundy?

Awwwww, I like you too BF... I'm over the whole Carlisle, Treloar thing now anyway. It didn't happen, it's not going to happen, so I've moved on... I've shifted my focus to this trade with GWS. The deal as I'm hearing it sounds like a massive win for us... You seem to be in the know, do you reckon this will actually eventuate?

I don't have any inside knowledge at all. I just have my opinion on how things will eventuate. I have no idea about the GWS trade that you're talking about. My way of seeing it is that we'll need to offer up a first round pick for Tomlinson which is fair, but I don't want us to give away any of next year's first or second round picks. I think the Yarran first rounder would be worth it and we can send a second rounder to GWS as well for the other guys.

Disagree. With Patton injury prone, they love McCarthy who allows Cameron to play higher. Freo now says no players involved just picks. Ain't happening is the word.

It would be nice to get Carlisle for free, but it won't happen. Players almost always get to the clubs they nominate, one way or another. And don't forget Hawthorn are waiting in the wings too. They usually get their man. But I'm all for Carlisle if we get him PSD.

Freo believe they're in the hunt for a premiership, their needs are specific, they're not worried about anything beyond 2016-2017. Draft picks don't matter to them, if they can get the player they believe will help them win a flag, they'll do whatever it takes. That's what I'd do.

Sure but the point is that McCarthy is more important to them than someone like Bennell. I'm just suprised they were so quick to pull the trigger when there was potentially a more important piece out there. Next year's first rounder wouldn't get it done.

I actually like Kerridge, if guys like Wright and MacKay didn't have something over the selection committee, he'd be playing every week. Play him half forward. Will easily be in our best 22 which is just sad. We'll come good. #faithinSOS well........until Thursday at least.

He'll at least guarantee you a win every time you play Norf.

IMO he would be a good replacement for Bell. Pretty similar in attributes, just needs a good run with injury.

The trade period is a joke. Carlisle is not a Free Agent, he should get no say in where he ends up. To many clubs are bending over at the moment.

I don't have a problem if Aish had said he was homesick and therefore wanted to go home to Adelaide. But he shouldn't be able to nominate which Adelaide club.

For him to come out and say he just wants to go to Collingwood (with no real connection there), is just utter ridiculous. Likewise with Carlisle. You're going to be living in the same state ffs. If you don't want to be at Essendon, fine. But don't start making demands about where you play then. The system is definitely broken.

Depends what we'd have to give up.

I do think there's a balance. How good would it be for our young players to learn from another good midfielder?

I wouldn't avoid him because of his age. But yes, I'd only pick him up if it didn't hurt us too badly.
