The above factors might bring back some of the disengaged former diehards but I'm not sure the theatre going cohort will come back until on field performance genuinely turns around. I'm giving it another 12 months before we see a membership recovery - hope I'm wrong though.

I'm thinking the same.

Lots of middle-of-the-road games this year could really tip one way or the other IMO for 2016. If the team gels and they get their tails up next year then 2016 could be really big.

How many memberships was the rollover renewal good for last year?
Relevant post from last year:

At the moment we have 7,170 members for 2014.

It looks like it is too early to make any real comparisons to last year. Last year the auto-renewal numbers didn't kick in until the end of November, whereas they kicked in almost right from the start this time.

I looked through the 2013 thread and got the membership numbers reported at different dates up to the end of 2012 - December 3 might offer the first somewhat useful comparison, although we might have to wait until December 20 to get a reasonable understanding of what is going on.

Anyway, here are the numbers from November and December 2012 so we can compare the figures in coming weeks:
- November 12 = 1,153
- November 21 = 2,444
- December 1 = 4,246 (auto-renewals start to kick in)
- December 3 = 8,121
- December 5 = 9,102
- December 6 = 9,416
- December 10 = 10,700
- December 12 = 11,806
- December 17 = 12,082
- December 19 = 12,493
- December 20 = 12,597 (last update until 21 Jan 2013 - the final figure for 2013 ended up being 24,155)

Also for future comparison the figures for previous years towards the end of December:
- 22/12/2011 = 11,051 (final 2012 figure = 20,762)
- 17/12/2010 = 12,762 (final 2011 figure = 20,792)
- 21/12/2009 = 15,403 (final 2010 figure = 29,014)

I just renewed my Vic membership... then got a call from "leppa" telling me it's time to renew.

I telephoned the member office and got a hold message from Leppa. Gee he sounded like Browny though, I'm not convinced they haven't just put an orange wig on the old recording of JB.

I have also received a txt from leppa about an hour ago.......about my auto renewal plan:eek: so phoned the club, spoke to a lovely man named Matt (hello Matt if on here;)) explained am not on auto renewal and only a supporter member etc.

...long story short, sorted out and am now a 2015 member...woohoo!!:D

Leppa answered recorded phone, then Browny came on...everything was a recording until Matt took over.

Will we get record numbers this year?:)...I also heard from Leppa this afternoon.

Just officially renewed my Vic membership with a merch pack (souly for the members scarf) and a home Guernsey.
Can't wait for it all to arrive! Bring on season 2015!

Everyone gets called today except for me.
