I think half the players leaving Brisbane just use the disguise of homesickness but really just don't want to play for Brisbane. I don't like Brisbane but how do they become a better appealing club if the talent keeps leaving?

Exactly!

Disgruntled player "I hate this hell hole. You guys are a pack of a***holes. I want out".
Leppitsch "Really? Where do you want to go?"
Disgruntled Player "To (insert team in home state)"
Leppitsch "Bloody homesickness again!"

From the outside it looks like cultural issues. Reddan for example, wants to leave because of the coach. If he's traded to a team in his home state they'll count it as another case of homesickness. There is just a natural preference for most to head to familiarity but that doesn't mean it's the cause of wanting to leave.

Also from pure probability if you gave all teams an even chances odds are you'll end up in Vic, where most players come from in the first place.

He's not even worth a contract. I was very disappointed he was offered a contract. I am absolutely stunned by Melbourne's alleged offer, so much so I've come here looking at thoughts of Melbourne supporters.
I think it's safe to say nobody has exploded in ecstasy

Collingwood asking for first round pick for a player who is injury prone, has done nothing and hasn't even played all because he was a former top 10 pick. Toumpas story is much the same except he's actually played, I expect 2 first rounds for him.

The only bad thing is that people have seen Toumpas play while Freeman has been a mystery .. we all know we like mystery rather than fact.

Agree.

I really don't like Brisbane (city that is, not club. The club are currently at meh status of irrelevant)

Come on, Melbourne is nothing special either. You all wear Daryl Somers' sweaters.

That'd only work if people hadn't seen Toumpas play (or only the St Kilda game's first three quarters).

Guys please, if we are ever going to insult cities please let it be Adelaide

Danger is good, not 1.5k good. Reserve that for the HULK.

edit: 1.5M haha, would take Danger on 1.5k no problems, I'd even pay for him myself haha.
Mate, if you've got that sort of coin, I'll provide the brown paper bags, you fill em up, and we'll both go deliver them to our new recruits...

You get a grand, and you get a grand and you get a grand. All in stripper cash. Why? Because stripper cash is the best cash!

I don't know that quoting Leigh Matthews circa 2002 helps their claims of being struggletown...
