HF: Billings, McCartin, Weller
F: Lonie, Bruce, Membrey
R: Longer, Armitage, Steven
INT: Hickey, Fisher, Geary, Freeman

EMG: Webster, Acres, Sinclair

That's without Gilbert, even though I think he can play a solid role. Would like to see Riewoldt play as a mid. Get the feeling that may happen more in 2016, but they may pay some games with Membrey and some with Hickey, as to not go too tall and see which game plan works better as the season goes on.

Pretty good side if we can't squish Gilbert, Ross, Wright, McKenzie, Minchington, Shenton or Delaney into it. Hope I didn't miss anyone or double up!

EDIT: Probably should squeeze Geary in - possibly replacing one of Hickey/Membrey if they don't play together. It's hard to know who to take out of the 22, but some games Goddard will be rested, but just for the sake of it I'll put him in for Webster. Consider this team a best 25! Tried to make a full team rather than a large bench.

I don't understand how this would be correct at all.... Sydney wouldn't pass their 14 onto us for just our 24. They only did that because Essendon sent them the 23.

What on earth is webster doing outside the starting 22! Richo asked him to play more of a defensive role this year. Watch the boy get pushed onto the wing and use his elite disposal and speed to tear teams apart.

I had him in the 22... Then wanted to put Geary in, but also didn't want to take out Newnes or Savage... Think there's going to be some headaches at team selection if we're fully fit!

Anyone doubting the wisdom of recruiting Carlisle should ask themselves one question. Would Hawthorn be seriously interested in recruiting him (and restructuring their player payments to fit him in), if they thought he couldn't play ? We're not competing with the wooden spooners for JC's services, we're competing with the threepeating Hawks.
