Think that's a bit unfair we nailed the last 2 drafts and have got some really good players

I am not as convinced as everybody else that is the case just yet. We have bought in some great young talent but you have to bear in mind we have had plenty to work regarding picks after 2 horrid seasons. Billings & Goddard where obvious picks, Dunstan a solid get, Acres yet to prove anything, too early to say we nailed it with McKenzie.

I will say Lonie and Sinclair was really good drafting, but overall I just dont share the view that our recruiting is quite as special as some think the last 2 years. I am happy with who we got, but also recognise we have had plenty of bites of the cherry.

Not surprised we are not keen on Bennell. He is not a half back flanker, is not slow & doesnt have shit foot skills. Therefore clearly doesnt meet our list management strategy

In all seriousness, are we seriously ever going to take a risk again or are we going to be talking about Lovett in 10 years time? We are going to need to pull off a few masterstrokes to get even close to some of the other teams rising up the ladder. Some luck will be required, being conservative is going to lead us right back to the bottom half of the 8, at best.

Hear hear. If we just go along as we are going we will go backwards. Collingwood and GWS are younger than us and miles ahead. Things wont just fall into place. The odds are stacked against us with FA, concessions to expansion clubs, and players wanting to go to bigger clubs. We need to be ultra aggressive. Just going along and thinking or hoping it will just fall in our lap based on the 'cycle' is not going to happen. We arent going as well as the media made out.
