Jake Carlisle is the key to getting Anderson.....* Fc are ticking it off as far as theyre concerned

Which is probably correct.

Anderson is contracted, Hawthorn have maintained that they wouldnt move him on unless for the right price. Carlisle is that.

But in saying that, our first round pick is the key to the deal.

Id want to try and extract something <30 in return even with a shuffle

Looking at those VFL stats. Wow I want Anderson bad now. He had 27 and 6 ffs
Damn well impressive, massive pre-season coming up for a quite a few of our youngsters. Garner, Brown, Daw (youngish), Harper (if he's retained), Anderson (if we get him), Turner, Wells (older gentlemen, needs some fitness behind him) and Mcdonald.

What makes me laugh is Dodoro says that if Carlisle is happy we'll sign the deal today>>>>>> fookme why?? he is the one wanting to leave, as long as the club is happy with the deal and that player doesnt want to stay. Do it. regardless what the unhappy player says.

jakey will sign off on it none the less.
They can't just do it though Oz,, the player has to agree to the trade.

let us in on the goss GR
RICHMOND has locked away small forward Ben Lennon for two more seasons, ending his contract impasse.

Lennon, 20, put pen to paper this afternoon amid speculation Carlton was set to lure him through the pre-season draft.

“Throughout this process, Ben always wanted to stay at Richmond, and we always wanted to retain him,” Tigers football boss Dan Richardson said.

“There was no discussion about him being involved in any trades. Sometimes negotiations can become protracted, but pleasingly we were able to reach a position that both parties are comfortable with.

“We look forward to Ben developing into the player we believe he has the potential to become.”

A deal to send Greater Western Sydney midfielder Jacob Townsend to Punt Rd for a third or fourth-round pick is expected to be sealed tomorrow.

v1

Townsend, 22, has played just 28 games in four seasons at the Giants but was targeted by the Tigers for his ferocious tackling and inside grunt.

Talks with Carlton over a deal for playmaker Chris Yarran are edging closer but will drag on across the weekend.

The Blues are adamant Yarran, 24, is worth a first-round pick but Richmond is refusing to part with its current first selection (pick 12) to secure him.

The expected departure of Tigers defender David Astbury to Brisbane, which holds picks 17 and 21, could help complete the Yarran trade.

It emerged today Richmond also made enquiries with Essendon about Jake Carlisle but the Tigers have since been trumped by Hawthorn’s play for the key defender.

In other Richmond news, All-Australian forward Jack Riewoldt had minor shoulder surgery today and will miss next month’s International Rules Test in Ireland.

And triple Brisbane Lions premiership player Craig McRae has been appointed as Richmond’s VFL coach.

Might have been said before, but why would the Hawks want to move Anderson out in order to get Carlisle. They are arguably weak in both mid and defence. Short term they may benefit from Carlisle but if Jed is such a jet mid why would you let him go for a short term gain....

Heard Dodoro on SEN this arvo.
He said Hawthorn were professional.
If in fact North are part of the Carlisle deal, Dodoro made ZERO mention of us and our contribution to making the deal a reality.

He is either an arrogant flog or North is just the cycloptic third cousin who lives in the basement.
