As do I, was rewatching that youtube h2h clip of him vs Matera that was posted the other day. Was so good at hitting those packs at full speed when the ball was there to be won/or someone was looking to dish it off and you'd see him just glide through and punish the opposition with his skill.

Pretty encouraging reading about the hard yards CEY has put in this off season. Greenwood as well. Hopefully Greenwood is fit enough from their little mini preseason that he can spend a great deal of the real pre season working on skills and general game awareness stuff.

Is there an article ....or link?

Would suggest also that Greenwood's not content to sit around on the Rookie list .....man is on a mission

Drafted at pick 64 in 2011 from SANFL club Woodville-West Torrens, Ellis-Yolmen trained for four hours a day — lifting weights, running, cycling and swimming — alongside Noke and Greenwood.

Greenwood set up the mini training camp, having played college basketball at UNM, where he got to know Australian Noke, who uses the headquarters as his main training base.

The pair stayed with Greenwood’s American-born partner Kjiersten Straubs and her family.

I don't know if it's possible, but the thought of Greenwood breaking into the team and playing a Bontompelli like role is the stuff of wet dreams. That's the type of "organic improvement" we need.
he's not going to die wondering, that much is clear

Also on AFC website. Didn't Cam do a big fitness campaign 2014 pre season ? With Kerredge
Correct .....and Vince had his best season (B&F) after pairing with Goodwin during the Pre-Season

I've said that self confidence / ego / strut is a great attribute to have in sport ......Greenwood has it spades, CEY needs to have some rub off on him

Absolutely. If he develops like I think he can, we'll have a very good player on our hands, and one that gives us a POD as well :thumbsu:

He just needs to be backed up with actions or it looks and sounds a bit "Mundine" like

I watched him on fox recently - 2008 showdown replay. God I miss him too. So to remind us all of what he looks like, here he is hitting on my wife. Yeah nah, just being the legend he is, he got cosy for a photo. Absolutely love the man. crows 2009 003 copy.jpg

Something out of left field and not so much in the "youngsters" category a lot of you guys are referring to. But I'm hoping our skipper can have a big pre-season and get back to his absolute best. Seemed to be holding back a little this season due to his injuries early in the season. A fit and firing Walker can determine whether we finish top 4 or not. Can you imagine our side from this year and a Walker in his 2012 form.

he'll never be that player again because he has a completely different physique now. he has lost all of his ability below the knees.

Agree with this.

There was a replay of a 2011 game during the season and I couldn't believe how mobile and agile Walker was then compared with now.

He's bigger now so can compete a bit better in marking contests but it's not a strength the way his other tricks were.

He's still got plenty of tricks. He's still very good below his knees, perhaps not pre knee levels but still above average for his size.

Who's role is this one? Or is it a new role?
