Does anyone else think Taranto at 4 (after academy) to Brisbane is gonna happen? I reckon he'll end up the best from this draft from the limited games I've seen.

I would if I were them, he reminds me a bit of Steve Johnson/Dan Menzel but he already has elite endurance and proven midfield ability. I think he's a pretty complete player and will be able to impact straight away.

Brisbane is a very good chance to nominate Bowes imo.

I rate him around 5 to 10, but these academy nominations do my
head in. McCluggage, McGrath and Ainsworth are too good to
risk losing IMO pick 4 maybe Brodie the inside bull, 5 Taranto and
then Bowes at six, but who knows.

Brisbane have player retention issues. Here is a player rated highly and he is from QLD. He could be in their top 3 or even higher on their draft board.

Who did Sydney take at pick 9 in your phantom draft ? They seemed
pretty keen to trade up to pick nine and based on needs and Heath
Grundy getting on a bit Griffin Logue is screaming pick 9 (imo).

Brisbane is a crap club with poor facilities so was Fitzroy funny about
that. I like Bowes and you could be right, but those top three are too
good to mess around with (imo).

Hmmm a mid, Sydney need mids. I like Taranto and would rate him
alongside McCluggage in terms of a goal kicking mid. There is some
genuine diversity in the top guys and it will be fascinating to see
how it plays out.

187cm left footed utility from South Australia. Really good kick, tough as nails, makes good choices. He is a bit like Williams.

Ben Ronke is the other one. Would love his speed in the center bounces.

AFL site says Jarrod Berry is in the 12-25 pick range - I thought he was higher rated than that. Sounds like the sort of player we'd be keen on if still available at 18?
