Some things that may yet happen:

1. Essendon receives a first rounder for Hurley (Effectively pick#1, giving them the top 2 picks)
2. Brisbane receive a priority (They won't but you never know)
3. No-one bids for the Academy guys. (May happen once and maybe even twice)

Our early pick may not end up quite as early.
4. We storm the gates

If 2017 is a super draft...

what if we trade the 2017 first rounder only for the GWS4mkII

That would give the Giants a big carrot to go buy points if they need, secures us a big influx of talent and keeps us in a good draft at the top end

I like what you did there

Fair to say our our pick could slide from 8 to 13

Ben Silvagni could be the final tall we need to complete our forward line.
Isn't draft eligible till 2018 kicked 8.5 for Xavier on the weekend.
Wonder if the club will draft and trade with this in mind over the next two years.

Isn't draft eligible till 2018 but is already playing for Metro U16's and kicked 8.5 for Xavier on the weekend.

I'll give away quoting players' heights if Ben is 195.

Said early on that: Mckay is taller than 200.......Curnow is taller than 191......Cripps has been taller than 190 ever since he joined us.......but if Ben is 195.

He may get there but he can't possibly be that tall............Can he be?

You may be right. I have seen it reported by a few places that Ben is already 195cm.
Think I may have even heard SOS say something about one of his sons being taller then him already.
I'm with you on players listed heights being BS. Just don't know why they do it.
Can't be that hard to list accurate heights.

I wonder if we could get in early and supply a goalkicking coach; the absolute last thing we need is someone else who marks like Levi and kicks like Cloke.

From what I have seen of him, he falls down a bit on the work rate bit I think... keeps drifting in and out of games.

What I've learnt watching the juniors over the past 10 or so years that you rarely find a kid that doesn't have an aspect of his game he needs to work on. Get them into an AFL club and they'll get better.

We have Ben Silvagni playing for Vic Metro U16's this weekend too. Won't be streamed or televised tho.
Get down there with your video camera :p

We need footage!

Bolts has told SOS to get players that can find the footy and who have great skills (inside or outside players are not specified). He also want's more left footers in the side.

Brodie, SPS and McCluggage will go too early to be considered, so at the pointy end of the draft

Dylan CLARKE leftie, high production, inside, clearance specialist with above average disposal.
Jordan GALLUCCI silk, decent both feet, bordering elite, speed, evasion
Andrew McGRATH bit of a bolter recently , big numbers, half back come Midfielder, with pace, evasion, good grab for height and highly skilled.
Jy SIMPKIN mid/forward, left footer with absolute elite disposal, broken leg keeping him out and perhaps down on possession numbers to fit the bill
Daniel VENABLES impact player with good skills, November birthday and deemed "closest to Dangerfield" by a couple of pundits. Maybe the "sleeper"
Brandon PARFITT, the NT lad a bit small, but oozes class and impressive skills at the coalface.

I have nothing against the GWS4(2), but reckon a modicum of patience and drafting three of these boys would set us up.
Clarke to complement Crippa a must, Gallucci and Simpkin would be exquisite on the wings (certainly the combative McGrath and the X factor of Venables
would be admirable) Love lefties(yes was one) and they are in short supply on our list. [Yes SOS would need to acquire another high pick to get three].

I'm with you on all of the players you mentioned. Would really love Dylan Clarke, he could be the contested ball player we need to add to our midfield. Think we will need a pick in the 10-20 range to get him.
Brodie McCluggage and SPS look like the clear top 3 ATM, they could go in any order tho.
If McGrath can show he can push into the midfield he could be top 5 material too.

Have you seen Warpel yet?

Seen this kid a handful of times. Always looks a class above most of those around him, but I reckon he will polarise supporters of whichever club he plays for.

When switched on, he reminds me a bit of Camporeale. Could be anything, but could also disappoint.

The HUN made a point of saying he is 195cm, 1cm taller than his Dad. True or not, he is growing fast.
