Powell-Pepper's disposal marks him as a Rhys Mathieson for mine. Likely to slide unless he improves his decision-making and execution.
If there's something that the Norf game showed up is our over-reliance upon Cripps.Powell-Pepper's decision-making and disposal are reportably on the improve after today's championship match.
If he can improve those facets of his game I could quickly become a fan
If we scored Tomlinson & Stewart via trade why would we need Battle??? Just a thoughtWill Brodie and Joshua Battle are the two I find the most interesting. If we could pick up Josh Battle with our first pick I would be pretty excited. He's everything you want in a key forward except he's "only" 192cm tall.
The rest of the elite end of this draft have issues or flaws that I find concerning for an top line AFL prospect.
Brodie is the ONE
@The Sheik, wouldn't think that Brodie or Battle will slide enough for us to take. Powell-Pepper just might though.
Like this guy?Explosive contested ball winning beast mid please. At minimum their skills should be above average and preferably can find the ball often...not asking for much
Dyl Shiel was the dream
Dare to dream, zee. Dare to dream.Dyl Shiel was the dream
You read my mind. I was going to photoshop a snap of Brodes onto neo when I posted it haha.
Wait. I'm confused. Didn't one of our posters say we had a player who was already playing like Keanu on a thread here????
I'm always scared of players who miss entire u18 seasons to injury.
But if we had a 12-15 id definitely look to him in that bracket.
Im not sure about Lever, but I know Stringer was a top 1-3 prospect who slipped to 6 because of his injury and Selwood the same who slipped to 7.Lever and Stringer did, and they're going ok. All depends on the injury and how the player recovers.
And Joel Selwood missed the entire year he got drafted as well.
Seriously, if that 4 for 2 trade goes down, that along with the deal last year is the sort of stuff that sets a club up for serious success.
Unless you regularly ace the draft inc your 3rd and 4th round picks, reality is you need some sort of luck to build a great list.
Kangas have been patient but even they are arguably carried by their older players.
Get Stewart, Marchbank and Tomlinson and we will be the envy of all clubs bar GWS in terms of tall players.
Stll pretty keen on Ainsworth. Could very well be a modern version of Boomer Harvey?
Powell-Pepper cooked the vics yesterday according to my WA media sources anyway.
Lever did his ACL in his final year.Im not sure about Lever, but I know Stringer was a top 1-3 prospect who slipped to 6 because of his injury and Selwood the same who slipped to 7.
I might have been unclear, but I meant I wouldnt be looking at Simpkin in the top 10 which was probably his level after his 2015 season, but would look at him if he slipped to 12-15.
Battle kicked 4 in U18's for Vic Country on the weekend - off only 8 touches - and all his Gaols in the first half.Anyone know how Battle or Kerr are going in the tac cup?
If SOS can get three picks in top 20 would like Brodie, Battle and SPP.Will Brodie and Joshua Battle are the two I find the most interesting. If we could pick up Josh Battle with our first pick I would be pretty excited. He's everything you want in a key forward except he's "only" 192cm tall.
