Prestia would be really good.

Crouch would be really good.

Both would be amazing. We have the cap space to do it surely.

Cotchin, Martin, Crouch, Prestia, Deledio is a handy fab 5 mids.

We'd have to get creative to pull that off remembering we have no second rounder. With 2017 being a strong draft and father son selection coming into play we may very well be reluctant to trade future picks. That leaves the option of trading players something we have been reluctant to do. Maybe now is the time to be bold.

Hit the nail on the head CP, without our round 2 pick it may be time to trade someone of worth to try and safeguard the future

You wouldn't steer clear of him because he's done his ACL. Thats a positive for trading in a way, because it means you get him below value.
Yes below value. Not for a first round pick coupled with a guy who has had an ordinary year.

i would consider trading edwards, would get us a first round pick, then if Vickery leaves, its vital that we are 100% certain of mcbeans capability at afl level, lets not guess and end up doing what richmond have done plenty of times, making poor decisions.

We could do a Sydney with what they did last year trading their pick 14 down to get more points at the back end of the draft... I would have thought we would be looking to trade next years 1st, knowing that Naish is coming, and looking at getting more picks at the back end of the draft. No doubt we have to get creative.

Prestia for our first.

Need to give up something for crouch. Perhaps edwards? Doubt theyd be after lennon with their forward line already stacked.

Steele no idea. Id be reluctant to give up lennon if we get rid of vickery. Its unlikely lennon would get a game at gws too.

I guess a lot will depend of vickery gets a fa offer which will give us another pick to play with. I dont want to trade to hard out of next years draft due to father sons and supposedly a strong draft.

First for Prestia. Let Vickery go on a biggish contract to Collingwood and get end of first round compo. On trade to Adelaide with Lennon for Crouch and a second rounder.

Prestia, Crouch and pick 30-something for Vickery, Lennon and pick 10ish.

Wouldnt be keen on giving up ennon if vickery goes. Simply because we have bugger all forwards.

Getting Crouch and Prestia would mean we can leave Dusty, Cotch and Edwards up forward more often.

Lennon had been playing in defence most recently anyway, and was doing okay.

So everyone who wants us to trade in Prestia, Crouch and Steele who are the 6 (3 for them and 3 for the draft) coming off the list to make room. They can't be Maric, Chaplain, Astbury or Vickery because you can't get rid of kpp only to bring in mids and out of who else is left you can't delist contracted players. A lot of people on this board were crying out for a big bodied mid and yet of these three only one of them I would consider a bbm. Have we not learnt anything from Lollingwood's failure in just brining in mids?

Imo if Maric retires at the end of the year we need a ruck. If Chaplain retires then we need to trade another Kpd in, maybe 2 if Astbury is moved on. If Vickery and Mc Bean go we need another mature Kpf.

We are NOT going to be able to fix all the percieved holes on our list in one off season. Pressing needs have to come first imo.

I reckon if we let Lennon go it will come back to bite us on the arse. I reckon a smart coach could bring out the best in him. Unfortunately we don't have a smart coach so his potential is wasting away in the reserves.
Spot on but Lennon has had a terrible run with injuries this year. Hip operation at end of last year, glandular fever, concussion twice and recently shoulder surgery. Hopefully he gets back in the senior side before not too long, but he needs the backing of Hardwick and Co and be played over a block of games. He has potential as shown during the latter part of 2015 but no point having potential if you are not selected to play when fit.

Trade for Prestia and Crouch

Let Vickery walk

Sign Redpath
I like Redpath but he is contracted at a team thats going to be contending in the next few years and he is holding his spot in the side. I just don't see him leaving. Plus who do we realistically trade out to get him.

  • Lose our player that has freakish ability to do what others just cant - Martin, Lids, Cotch included.
  • One of our most consistent players, even if questions marks on durability (most of the injuries have been unlucky more than persistent problems)
  • We wouldn't get a top 10 pick for him, so its a pointless discussion.
