We really could use outside run and he does that. We were happy with Gaff with his bruise free footy so it's not the worst idea. The only others available and Sharrod Wellingham etc.

Seem to remember something about Trout being keen on him in the lead up to the draft. And even help coach him. Hope my memory not failing!

The other thing I seem to remember is that we probably would have taken Hartung at 19 in 2013, but Blake Acres slipped down the order and we pounced. I leave it to others to say whether we dodged a bullet.....or found a star....or both!

Yeah we were linked to him a lot leading up to that draft in the media and so-on and my mail was definitely that he was plan B if Acres was not available.

Kind of shocked that someone as young as that would get delisted after averaging 22 disposals per game! Tells you something.

Can you give just a one year contract to a DFA (as opposed to the minimum 2 years for a draftee?).

I just wonder if we pass on pick 45 if all of our targets are gone, then give Hartung a year to prove himself (picked up as a DFA). The one year would also serve as a last chance rocket for him to prove himself.

If he fails, he is just warming a list spot for Gaff in 2018.

Lots of IFs there, but its a consideration if the draft doesn't pan out our way.

Just on Aiden Bonar can someone post some real highlights of him actually playing football?

I've seen lots of things showing him playing the piano, jumping, running, talking etc but very very little of him actually on the pitch.
