Wanted us to split pick 8, but pretty rapt with those first two picks on balance.

Reckon we've hit a pretty sweet spot in the draft for a key/mobile forward as well

Considering we lost Battle and Van Es, and that Cordy will be gone at the end of the year, and that Howard is not that good, we definitely did need to boost our KPD stocks..

and losing Bonner, Paton and Webster being old, getting Hofmann and Travaglia is also far from crazy.

Also, maybe we rate Carroll higher than the midfielders available at our picks.

Best available at our next pick, IMO. get someone who can impact at AFL level.
Getting a vfl standard midfielder does not help us!

So here's how I think we'll line up next year

B: Webster, Stocker, Howard, Cordy, McLennan, Cole, Tauru, Wilkie, Schoenmaker
HB: Nas, Sinclair, O'Connell, Caminiti, Travaglia, Clark, Windhager, Wilson
C:
HF
F: King

Foll:
Int: Hastie, Jones, Sharman, Hofmann

Players on the bench to rotate through defence

Poor little Norfie darlings melting like crazy
Maybe little beggaroos will get their pet AFL diversity selection in Laura Kane to give them more free draft picks to butcher.

What a pathetic pos club that travesty is, about 3,000 supporters and selling games to WA.

Shittest, most irrelevant club in the AFL.with a racist, homophobic coach.

Farce of a club. Haven't noticed any of their rancid clowns over here tonight.

You're not running with the racist, homophobe crap are you? That was one of the biggest farces in history. Give that a rest for gods sake.

Dude - north fans roasting saints fans and vice versa makes no sense. We are literally the same. One cannot offend the other without self inflicting some wounds.

We completely sold the farm for a speculative tall. You had your captain openly state you needed top end midfielders before selecting a couple of defenders. Let’s just call it a draw 😂
joffa doesn't subscribe to the only punch up code of ethics, he just punches

Tobie needs some Ritalin or something. Some may call it infectious but that was hard to watch. Nerves and all I'm sure, but the swaying and the over confidence of the kid is a bit much. The Ross the Boss talk, ug, spare me. It's all about the footy field so who really cares but that was a struggle.

As for Tauru, what a humble, appreciative young man who you just know is going to work his backside off.
reading this armchair psychologist naval gazing shitpost was a struggle, trav's interview on the other hand was great

personally I would love it if Tauru could hold down Battle´s spot next year.

It seems he needs to build up some strength though

Dude give him 20 minutes of media training. Remember Mattaes "Far Out" Phillapou.

I thought Crouch not getting rookied meant we had another list spot?
is this a thing?source?ive seen nothing of this

if this is the case we have 6 list spots left?

ive counted 34 inc hall, plus the 4 new guys(macrae carroll tt tauru)so far

1.ruck/ruck fwd dodson sims gerryn
2.mid boxshall
cole
hoffman
peckett(sandy bullshit)
6.boyd/blakiston/knobel,draft ssp whatever

kept f1,im very darn satisfied with our haul if it goes like the above,or if we miss on 1 or 2 save a pick for msd

Sick of reading about how good Richmond did at the draft and they are the big winners 👎🏼
They need all these draft picks to be the equivalent of or exceed the players they lost - Martin, Bolton, Rioli, Baker, Pickett, Graham. That’s just to match this seasons output of 2 wins.

Two of their selections have injury history hanging over their heads. 70% of the draft won’t make it, so their chance of this draft haul replacing what they’ve lost is low.
They will struggle to win 2 games next year.
Kudos to them tho, they bent over the desperate and incompetent kangas which will give them another 2 bites at the cherry next year.
They haven’t “masterminded” anything and it’s nothing to “marvel” at.

At least they have 3 recent flags to fall back on 🤝🏻

I see your point, however we would swap places with them in a heartbeat. The amount of access they have to high end talent in this draft and now the next has taken us 5 years+

Of course those players all won’t be at the proceeding players standards. What’s the alternate option though? They keep them and end up middle of the road?

The draft and trade periods should be judged in totality not in insolation. Richmond gave up arguably their best player in Bolton in his prime, a gun in Rioli and decent player in Graham. Combined with the loss of Dusty the draftees have a fair sized hole to fill. There's no knowing what their collective talent will produce.
Don’t forget Grimes, one of the best defenders pound for pound I’ve seen

What is the use to get a all out midfielder if they are not up to standard - when put the time into a guy that turns into a Dunstan or worse - pick the best available and then see once they develop what position they take on.

Jack Steele has been fantastic for us , but in the coming year and years even his position is going to be under pressure , which is great because it will push him to play at his best - McCrae is not being talked about to much due to falling out at the Dogs last year and I full expect the 4 x All Australian will be what we have been screaming out for.

The difference in age between Steele and McCrae is only a year and hopefully they will carry us through the development of Phillipou , Windhager , Owens , Wilson , Henry who I all expect to have time in the middle --- also on top of that we are eyeing off the free agents in Brayshaw and LDU plus looking at bringing home Callahan who is off contract.

Our depth in talent is starting to really make us look like a top tier team - kids like Hastie , Schoemaker , McLenan , Caminiti , Keller , Garcia , Heath , Collard all have promise and with getting another lot of class talent this year things are looking up.
There is some serious rose coloured glasses going on. “Depth in talent starting to make us look like a top tier team”. No. We will never be a top tier team without a decent midfield.
And nobody knows if the kids in this draft are as you say, “up to standard”. But to get a mid that is, first you need to draft a mid, not four f***** defenders.

In terms of player type balance across the draft, and knowing the skill set we generally look for, then I'd have Hamish Davis edging out Hugh Boxshall for our next pick. Just need to make sure Eagles don't nab either with their pick.

Both seem a Dalrymple special, and Davis in particular sounds like an incredible prospects who has already performed in the forward half in WAFL Seniors.
I’m leaning the other way, prefer Boxshall as our next pick with his speed, endurance & strong upper body, Davis strikes me as turning into more of a forward going forward (no pun intended)

Night three 😱
They're actually dragging this bag of balls over glass for an extra feckin' night!?
Jaysus bollocking Christ 🙄
beating a dead horse wtf GIF

I think Davis has just more the natural talent and runs on the board. 4 goals in a senior WAFL final. Then backs it up with 30 touches in the WAFL Colts grand final.

Sure Boxshall combine results were better, but he doesn't have the runs on the board. Yet.
