The question marks on Stephensons kicking.

Just from that afl.com video, and i havent seen him play so a question to anyone that has..

In that highlight reel is kicking looked not bad, and a good goalkicker apparently.
He mentions he likes to take the game on.

Im wondering is the "bad kicking" a result of going for long/hard targets as opposed to bad technique?
What I think might be attractive about Stephenson is the ball winning ability both forward and in a Steven like role. As a pure winger then not overly interested. If he puts on a bit more weight he could be a bit of beast mode like Fyfe (who was that skinny) out of the middle, but with super pace. It’s a hope of course, and not preordained that that’s what he’ll be, but he doesn’t look to be someone who will end up just being an uncontested guy.

I’d be more than happy with two of Stephenson, Coffield, Brayshaw, and Bone dog.

I know there's no certainties in footy but say we already have a mutual agreement with Sloane and or gaff the to come to the saints next year. Do we then just take best available at pick 7 and a mid with pick 8. Eg brander and brayshaw.

2019
B:geary Goddard/Austin Webster
Hb: roberton Carlisle newnes
C: gaff Sloane brayshaw
Hf: billings brander Sinclair
F: Gresham McCartin membrey
Foll: longer ross Steven
Int:Bruce acres steele dunstan/white/armitage

Bruce to plug holes off the bench such as second ruck, key forward or even down back if need be. Looks exciting

Verbal committments mean nothing.

unless ithere is is a written agreement, don't bother./

Sydney can go **** itself with a broken house brick.
Off topic non-coffee question.
As our resident professional.

Stephenson, Coffield, Brayshaw, Clarke, Fogarty, Higgins, etc. Around the mark.
Who are the safest bets?

Can you rank them for us, not on potential ceiling but as most likely to succeed?
As in, be 150+ game players.

When I watch Stephensons highlights I can't help think that the ball always travels in the direction he wants it to (hence the goal accuracy), he just has no ability to finesse it to come down at the right time and place. Reminds me of ... the GOAT Blake Acres.

If we overlook Fogarty we are stupid!

He’s the Ryan Burton if this years draft

I think anyone expecting a thread with high interest but little new substance to talk about, to stay on topic, is on a hiding to nothing.

What was afl.com.au thinking doing videos on Oscar Allen and Patrick Naish??? How are we meant to decided which different player we want today when ones an auto-tiger and the other of no use to us??

Interesting. Italians brought their machines to the Cross/Darlinghurst area the same time they brought their machines to Carlton.

Its believed the coffee culture took off in Melbourne is because Kings Cross became a vise area full of illegal gambling, prostitution and strip joints, while Carlton remained more family and women friendly and became a restaurant precinct thereby attracting more people who drank more espresso.

Grew from there.

Yeah a few friends that moved up to Sydney in the 90s used to take me to Darlinghurst because they were the only good coffee places. Coluzzi is always full of refugees from Melbourne who work in the entertainment industry. the old guy that owns it.

He is more Jake Stringer to me with out the issues off field. Stringer hasn't ended well but he's an excellent footballer. Stringer was a uni positional player who might become a mid like Foges. I would be happy if he's one of our high picks. I love Hunter Clark and Stephenson, but wouldn't be upset if we gambled on Bonar either.

I don't have a coffee tip, but if you want a top feed in Darlinghurst, Embers mezze on oxford st.

Ayhuasca?

I worked with a guy who'd gone off to South America and tried that stuff, he said it was pretty intense. He freaked out a bit but said it was worth doing. Bit more expensive than picking mushrooms on the seaford foreshore though.

Jack Higgins debate has me wondering if there's a similar player type available for our later picks.

What are people's thoughts on Brent Daniels as a moneyball midget for p45?

Speed, agility & touch needed for a small fwd and seems to know how to find it too.

Knock seems to be that he tries to do too much with it and gets himself in trouble, but I don't mind that for a small forward that is trying to make something out of nothing.

Looks like a shorter but more agile version of Higgins that has accepted his fate will be as a small fwd at the next level despite being a capable mid in jrs.

At 45 I'm happy for trout to punt on a small fwd with a bit of x-factor that 'could' end up an upgrade on Minch/Lonie for the small fwd spot.

Who is the player you are going to get seriously worked up about if he's avaliable at our pick and we don't take him ?.

Fogarty is my nomination, to me he looks like he will develop into a superstar.

Cafe de Cuba in Elwood makes a good coffee.
Cerra, Dow, LDU or Rayner. Imagine if we passed on any of these 4!

Realistically, Coffield, Fog & Brayshaw look like they have big upsides but its so even between 5-10 I'll just trust the club and not really mind who we take.
