I've been hanging for this night since grandfinal! Feel bloody flat! Was hoping for Dow but then LDU was there got excited. Pick 31 came and was over the moon constable was there and then wack picked up a bloke we could have picked in the 90s would have liked midfield toughness like a worpel oh well GO BLUES
Gartlett is supremely talented.
What's concerning is that he left the Suns in part because of homesickness. You'd hope the fact that he put his hand up for the draft means that he's ready to give it another serious crack.
Have to assume the club has also done its due diligence.

That Garlett pick is such a low risk high reward pick, he has a ton of talent and I definitely trust our environment to get him back on track. As Hark's said, the balls on SOS, Brodie and Bolts.....Great night!

Dow Lochie Schumacher & Garlett could all easily play next year. De Koning long term. Add them to Kennedy Lang Lobbe Mullett McDaid and that is another good trade/draft period. More depth now and good ball use. Northern Blues will be worth watching in 2018.
What's that leave? 2-3 rookies.

Ecstatic with the Dow choice, best player in the draft. I would have personally taken Fogarty over O'Brien but I see why we selected him and he was definitely around the mark. as for De Koning etc.. meh, Constable would have been nice

Rumours were that Brisbane discounted LDU because they queried he wanted “it” enough. Freo have preferred Brayshaw and Cerra (and probably Dow but they knew he wouldn’t be available). LDU, aka “The airchair recruiter’s highlight special”.
