*Does that make me an expert 'list manager'
Just some observations of mine:
Next year I highly recommend you go and see a few TAC games in your area and then go and watch a couple of games live at the U18 National Carnival. They don't cost anything to attend. Watch what the kids do on and off the ball. Observe whether they can play in more than one position. What's their disposal like under pressure??? Are they dual-sided and have they also developed a defensive side to their game??? You'll be presently surprised by the game standard. Trust what you see with your eyes and hear with your own ears to form you own observations and then back them in. You'll very quickly get a handle on the competition and be able to track the progress of the kids through the course of the year.
- While many on here were busy flognosticating over Kelly, Fyfe, Martin & Rockliff, some of us actually went out and watched many of these kids play full matches.
- While many on here were busy begging the club to trade our 2018 picks for more picks in this years draft, those of us who had observed the next crop of kids said no. Funny how those same people have now changed their tune.
- While many on here were making shit up in the Bluemour thread, some of us were questioning the continued relevance of some our assistant coaches and queried whether Bolton & Fraser were getting the best support possible from the resources being supplied. Fair to say the club has since given our assistant coaching ranks a decent renovation.
- While many who supposedly know our playing list well claimed SOS wouldn't make more than 5-6 changes, some of us thought he'd have little problem making 10-11. In the end SOS made 13.
Jimmae, Arr0w and I don't always agree, but we do have a healthy respect for each others views, because we've all been out watched live full games and followed many of these kids for 12 months or more. I'm all for raising the quality and level of conversation in threads like this and that's why I encourage you and others to get out and watch these kids in just a few games at TAC Cup or U18 Nationals level. The more informed the conversation becomes, the better for all contributors.
Sitting in the stands, one thing I've learned is just because people may go to games and wear membership lanyards, it doesn't mean they have a clue what they're talking about. But that sounds like a lot of work and commitment Youtube clips and bf rumours are A LOT easier
Him and Bartlett together is un bloody bearable
Yeah, my immediate thought was, "yeah but do you know what you're looking at?"...Sitting in the stands, one thing I've learned is just because people may go to games and wear membership lanyards, it doesn't mean they have a clue what they're talking about.
I have heaps more in common with elephants than just my memory.............

What's people's thoughts on why we might nit take Brayshaw if he was available.
Is it thought that there isn't a lot more growth or upside in his game and that he's a bit meat and potatoes ??

Anyone have any knowledge of which draftees SOS has paid a home visit to (if any)? I believe that was an early hint of us taking Crippa in his draft year
Like him as a late pick for us
Power rankings are a little pointless at this point. People know roughly where players are ranked. It's all about the inside word now.
