Heeneys only moved to the midfield this season, Kennedy, Hanneberry, Parker, Lloyd, Jack, McVeigh etc all similar players.

Gibbs is more of a classy mid - more of a need.

For the record, I'm not saying don't get Rockliff, he'd be a nice get for free, just if it comes down to a choice between the two, I'd certainly rather Gibbs

I do agree with that, but his best position is as an inside mid. Sloane, Crouches and Greenwood are also more than solely inside mids, but all of them have the same best position. Gibbs, on the other hand, majorly thrives in the inside/outside role.

Again, I'm not saying don't go after Rocky, as he adds depth and is free of cost, but if it came down to a choice, give me Gibbs.

Would need to pair him with outside mids that tackle, though, which wouldn't be a problem (Gallucci is a start, CC too if he doesn't leave)

I have no idea of how much salary these guys will require. But the talk last year was that we had room for Gibbs at $600k and Rockliff would accept around $650k as long as it was for 4 or 5 years.

I would want to keep Gov full stop. He takes our forward mix from very good to elite in so many areas. But I would be happy if we ended up losing Lever and added Rockliff and Gibbs.

Ideally we keep Lever and add them both.

I think if the Crows could get either of them they would go Gibbo but seeing our history of getting players, maybe as a spporter base we shouldn't get to picky. Either of them would make a huge difference as they would help us bat one deeper than we do and that shows sometimes with us this year

Agreed. Would love to keep Lever, but if we lose him and are able to pick up all of Rockliff, Gibbs and a top 10 pick, then I'm absolutely happy.

I could be wrong, but Gibbs looks a lot quicker than Rockliff, but Rockliff is the better ball user and decision maker. Hard to tell the latter because a lot of Gibbs dump kicks ai have seen over the years could be because of a lack of structure and quality in the Carlton side. But you would think Brisbane is in the same boat.

I would probably go Gibbs because he is more similar to Sloane and we could free up Sloane by making it impossible to tag both of them.
