Kennedy coming to Carlton.

Really wanted Hopper earlier, but I think Kennedy could be just as good, if not better.
Looks a bit quicker than Hopper to me and hits packs every bit as hard.
Great guy too. Someone that will take care of your back and someone you'll want to take care of, also.

OUT-OF-CONTRACT Giants midfielder Matthew Kennedy has requested a trade to Carlton.

AFL.com.au reported last week Kennedy was close to nominating the Blues as his preferred club, and the 20-year-old is believed to have told Greater Western Sydney on Tuesday he wants a trade to Ikon Park.

Hopper definitely has a better first step and a solid side step, though Kennedy might have a better top speed.

It's much of a muchness if they can both find their work rate again at AFL level, but I'd marginally prefer Hopper at the stoppage.

Love the type of personality he appears to have... Think he will prove very popular with his teammates from the beginning and he could be a good onfield leader, both in terms of voice and cracking in hard.
