I heard a while back that Trout is keen to trade up if we don't trade anybody in. I have had this feeling for a while but I think we have one, if not two big fish on the hook. We don't retire Joey and be open to trading Armo/Hickey if we don't have players committed.
Right now I don't know who though.

Armitage would slot straight in at the Suns and or the Lions and both clubs have picks to spare.

Why would Brisbane give away a first round pick for a 4 spot upgrade on pick 12?

Sounds heavily favoured to us.
But then again they were happy to give us carlilse and gresh for the rights to arron franscis.
So not impossible.

I think Armitage back at his very best would push his way into almost every best 22, including ours.
But he would be a fantastic mentor for some of the young lion cubs. I also think if you wanted someone who could help change the culture at the Suns then Armo would definitely help drive that agenda.

Obviously holding out hope for Kelly but I really think GC is the club to target. Effectively starting again almost and would be after high picks. Would love to get Jack Martin.
18 is the start of the 2nd round. We could sweeten it with one of our 4th round picks.

Doesn't make a difference, Brisbane would still be getting shafted pretty bad in that deal. Would take a 3rd rounder + fringe player for a deal like that to suffice I would imagine.
