You did read the bit where I said that if there's perceived benefit for the club then Bell and Rosich will pursue a suitable deal? The Lobb deal appears likely to go ahead and that should help provide a marking target inside forward 50. The ball is in Brisbane's court on Neale but we've already indicated we'd rather keep him.
There seems to be a fair bit of bullshit being thrown around regarding the Hogan deal. Melbourne supposedly asking for pick 5 when we don't even have it makes me think they thought they could strong arm us into trading Neale to get Hogan. We've said pass which seems fair enough to me.
Improve our forward line? Hell yeah. Get bent over for the privilege? No thanks.

I'd rather wait and see what plays out with Neale/Beams/Hogan etc. before going for a player who doesn't want to go near us. We also would want to keep at least one top 20 pick, so if we're going for Kelly then it could mean we aren't bluffing on Hogan. Again, will wait for more trades to play out before getting to far ahead of ourselves

Why not just say first and final offer, if Demons don’t want to it, then walk away.

These nobs in the media who think pick 5 is right for Neale know absolutely nothing. The fact of the matter is we will likely get a compo pick straight after our first for Neale which we are extremely likely to finish bottom 5 again. That would mean we get approximately pick 6 as compensation next year for Neale as a F/A. If Brisbane want him this year they are going to have to pay a premium for us to even entertain the idea of trading Neale.
I don't believe the 5+23 crap either since it came out literally minutes after we pulled out.

I was pretty happy passing on Hogan if the price was too high, but throwing pick 11 at Kelly (who doesn’t want to be here) smacks of hurling shit everywhere and waiting for where it sticks.

Probably half my total posts in my 16 years on BigFooty have been about Jesse Hogan, so it’s pretty obvious I want him to play for us, but if Belly has seen something that he doesn’t like, then fair enough we need to walk away. The Press love to give us hell for wasting resources on Bennell, imagine how they would sink the boots in if Jesse’s foot was not improving enough, look how long Mumford has taken to fix.
I read somewhere on Twitter that we are after Hipwood as a trade for Neale. If that doesn’t happen, we could take pick 5 to the draft and pick up a South Aussie or a King or a Smith, we have options, it’s not the end of the world.

If true. And that's a big if this week, perhaps to put pressure on Melbourne that we are willing to trade out 11 if they are not interested. Perhaps to drive up the price WCE has to pay. Maybe both.
I don't think we seriously believe Kelly will agree to a trade after the comments earlier.
