If he looked like the second photo there, I really dont think The Saints would have moved so quickly to sign him up for another couple of years.

Maybe just another case of misplaced hope/optimism that will be dashed by harsh reality yet again, but I have pencilled that game in as a W.

My thoughts as well, but i am just a little scared to say it out aloud.
Riewoldt and Montagna have been the 2 that have carved us up for the last few years.
I am not sure about destabilising but I just dont think they will be as good without them.

Reiwoldt and Montagna have been our bogeymen for years.

I actually found round 6 (against Sydney IIRC) worse that year - I'd convinced myself that the Demons loss was an anomaly, and that we would bounce back against the Swans. It was of course made worse by the Bradshaw effect that day as well.... Especially the Torp!

We're a remarkably different team to all those years. Even a remarkably different team to 2017 if going just by enthusiasm levels of the boys alone. Remember how well we came out of the gates against Gold Coast last year in Rd1 - now add a bit more enthusiasm, a bit more on-field wisdom, a full season of the boys learning Fagan's gameplan instead of just one off-season, improved basic skill focus, get a few bigger bodies on the park and back from injury... I think we've got a really good chance of putting them on their backside at Etihad.

Have a little bit of faith, eh?
