Not sure why the suns would do that when they want Luko and Rankine, my bet is if they take 5 for May they'll take Luko, Rankine and Rozee.

Would be an utter shame to see 3 kids careers destroyed. The AFL should cut their losses and fold that club..
They will never win anything because no one wants to go there to play in front of an empty stadium unless they’re a second chance player..

**** that... we dont want a lad with a knee so dodgy that if he injures it again it would end his career... imagine he does it next year and weve blown pick 16, and thus a chance to get a young gun, on him.

Too great a risk and we already dodged a bullet with Lever... with this factor, and after his form this year, hes nowhere near worthy of pick 16 anyway.

If the club wanted him they wouldve taken him instead of doedee in his draft year.

I think we would take him as steak knives but not as part of a major deal/pick.

Send North/Saints to the GCS and form a new Club.

I can understand GWS, but GCS has been nothing but a disaster. Lets not forget they entered the competition before GWS too.

Hawthorn send Burton to Crows
Crows give 16 to Hawthorn
They Give that 16 and their first to Port
Port send Wingard to Hawthorn

That's a world where players, contracted or not, can demand to be traded to the club of their choice regardless of what trade currency that club might have to spend. The rules need to be changed to allow clubs to trade contracted players wherever they can get the best deal for the club, with or without agreement from the player.

But its the same world for both Lobb and Scully. Both have named their club. I don't understand how GWS can let Scully go for 53.

Once this initial GWS run passes they’ll be the same as GC.. They were given so many early concessions the players though they may as well hang around, win a flag and then move.
Seems that ship has sailed, especially when Kelly and Co leave next year..

Some guy calling up Trade Radio just said that his inside info is that Scully needs another operation and that he won’t play until at least 3 months into next season if at all. So pick 53 is a “great pick”.

Probably a Hawthorn fan lol.

What shits me is that you have a genuine footy state like Tassie that are desperate for a team and the AFL greedily prefer GWS and GCS.

It’s more annoying that there’s top SA boys and Gold Coast have the picks because it’s a basket case and no one wants to stay there.
I feel the Crows are obliged to do all they can to keep these boys home..
Even if they come back after 3,4 or 5 years it won’t be same. That’s probably the most crucial time in their development

completely disagree.

they are a very well run footy team, sure coach is questionable but they are not alone in that department.

GWS will be as important as Sydney in the next 20 years.

We didn't draft Burton because of question marks on his longevity due to that knee/leg injury he had. We are not about to trade for him now.

I sense one day that GWS may move to Canberra.

Mind you, that may not happen for decades.

Port are not getting 2 picks for Wingard. Bridges are burnt and should take Burton while he's available.

Wingard already sooks on the field.

Can you imagine what will happen if they cant trade him?

Hmmm I actually hope they cant, aside from the side show at Alberton, we would be in a prime position next year to grab him next year as FA. I am surprised we are not into him to be honest.

He needs to be de-Portified but he would be a decent player for us.

I'm not sure.

The GWS are is projected to be bigger than Adelaide and Perth combined in the next 20 years. if anything there might be another team move to Canberra.

I hope we are in his ear about this very fact

Or maybe Hamish just rated Tom Doedee higher. Hard to argue with that right now. I'd love to have Burton. But I don't think we should be spending currency on the type of role player he is. We have Smith, Milera, Doedee and Laird who are just fantastic players. He isn't a KPD or a lockdown small defender, where we have arguably the best in the business in Brown. Fitting Burton in would be a nice problem to have, but not one that we should be spending on right now. If we stick to the rule that you trade for needs, we shouldn't trade for him right now.

I just cant believe we could get him for nothing and all he has to do is sit around Alberton for another 9 or so months.

Their season will be shot by April or May next year in any case.

He strikes me as one of the very few players that will walk himself to the PSD. Would just love to see that happen to Port.

Wingard walking out on the Power is much much bigger than any player we have lost over the last couple of years.
