Welsh was the best full forward we've had since jameson
LOL you forgot the smiley face. Modra says hi.

How were we so good in 2005 and 2006. Forward line off Welsh, McGregor, Perrie, Hentschell, Burton, Bode. Luckily our midfield and defence was outstanding that our forwards got so much opportunity to kick a goal.

But are trying to get Beams. They’ll give up 2 firsts and get something back from Brisbane. Hard to say.
You could probably work a 3 way trade with Brisbane.

Brissy give pick 5, next year 2nd or 3rd & Beams - get 4 1st's

Collingwood give 2 x firsts - get Kelly and Beams

Crows give 13 and 16 and Kelly - get pick 5 & next years 2nd or 3rd(allows us to trade next years 1st to Saints for 4)

Each one of them were capable of dominating a game, and on the odd occasion they all clicked at once.

What we could have been if Trent didnt blow his knee.

Chad was a great player a few years ago. Really, really good player. Does he still have the motivation to push himself to be the best player he can be. To win premierships. Or will he be happy to just continue to coast on his talent.

We just got rid of Gov for apparently similar reasons to why Wingard is being shown the door. After what happened with Menzel I can see this potentially ending the same way.

I did something stupid and sat in the corner and read Ports posts. :$

Then I came across this gem that got them excited:

Port in 8, 13, out Wingard
Crows in Wingard, out 8, 13

That will teach me for surfing their board.:p
He's a talented player, but their inability to develop that talent to it's full potential is their own problem, not ours. We're under no obligation to give them the currency they need to start afresh. If we have any interest in him, it should be on our terms.

I can't see it happening. They have two fs/academy bids to match in the top 30. I think Beams is much more likely to happen than Kelly, which would take their trade currency needed to take those two kids. Seems to me that Jake Kelly would be a long way down the list of their priorities. I call bullshit.

Yeah, but the proposal of 18 for 21 and Kelly would cause diddly squat effect on Collingwood's ability to take those 2 F'S/acadamy kids (107 points).

if Beams happens then forget the above, but IMO pick 18 is far from fair remuneration for Beams. Taking Beams is more likely to effect their F'S/acadamy situation than Kelly IMO.

Maybe we're hoping he gets delisted
If they have a contract in front of him they probably wouldnt be delisting him.

Should have been one of the first things done, instead here we are.

To me it was telling that hes gone to Hawthorn. He wont be the big name and can play 2nd or 3rd fiddle in a talented forwardline.

Which is why I wish he would stay a few more months at the Power and walk to us for free in the middle of next year as a RFA.

Could have done the same with us, from what I understand he and Clarko have a connection from his days playing in Ireland? Correct?
