I don't see any reason why Gold Coast would give up pick 5 (or 2 or 3) for just pick swaps without players involved.

List wise, we should be able to afford to trade one of Hartigan, Keath or Himmelberg, who should also offer some value to Gold Coast, combined with a pick to move up in to the top 5 of the draft?

Or can we do a deal for pick 5 before it makes its way to the Gold Coast (via Brisbane, Freo, Melbourne)?

Kolodjashnij set to become a Demon: Cameron
The Suns are set to broker a deal that will send Kade Kolodjashnij to the Demons.

The deal, according to Suns list manager Craig Cameron, could potentially involve the movement of co-captain Steven May and could land as early as this afternoon.

Watch this space.

If that deal is happening today it will be a big afternoon.'

Would require 5 (or equivalent/more) to go to Freo for Neale, then to Melb for Hogan, then to GC for May and KK

I assume that the land as early as today would be morel likely to be if it was KK by himself, but it linked in a May deal I cant see hw that goes down without the other dominos falling

There were rumors that Kelly went to Ross lyon after a WAFL game and asked what he needed to do to get on an AFL list and Lyon said hed never make it.

Would explain why he doesnt want to go there. Or it could just be BigFooty bs

Probably one of many reasons. Would rather becoming a starting player in a premiership team than being involved in the Freo mess. Lyon needs to go, his style isn't what is needed there.

My theory is that we did the deal with GC as a favour for letting Francou go and then on-traded that pick to Richmond for Stengle so that if the AFL question it, we can say that Richmond wanted a pick below 70 for him so we were forced to do it. I believe this favour to GC isn’t over either :D

Hopefully they are as obliging when we come knocking for rankine and luko in a year or two.

If the AFL even let the thought enter their head about questioning this deal, then the crows should be lineballing our QC to go the AFL and question how the Scrimshaw deal, the probably Scully deal, the Hall deal, the Setterfield deal etc etc is allowed to just go through to the keeper. No, we are on the most solid ground you could ever imagine after what else has gone down this trade period

Agree these guys have value yet we can cover. I would be trading one of them + Atkins to move up the order.

Rookie listed don't have to delist. if he has no contract he open slather.
Maybe he the Fall back option
Think the rules are you can not rookie a player who has been on a rookie list previously, the exception is if the player has just nominated for the main draft and no one drafted him. Then that player can be rookied.

So if Hunter is at the max rookie term (which I think he is) and we don't want to put him on our senior list, we have to let him go into the main draft and re-rookie him if he's not picked up.

Trade Radio saying Kade Kolodjashnij going to Melbourne for a pick in the 50's after being taken pick 5 in the 2013 draft.
They are literally ridding themselves of a heap of players. Maybe Dew has sounded out all those not committed and they are running a broom through the club. If this is the case, I would not doubt that they may very well trade some of their high picks for a bunch of 1st rounders / low 2nd rounders to try and bring in a whole new era - especially if they have got wind that Luko and Rankine and the King Twins etc are indicating they are not going to hang around long if drafted (speculation only)

I agree, but seeing as we aren’t located in Vic we can’t make it easy for them and have to cover all bases.

If that happens, gold coast may as well fold. They are cooked. They've been bent over the entire trade period and are still taking it. They let go of good players for squat and then hold onto the magic beans which are draft picks as if their lives depend on them.

Fold them in 2020, DFA fire sale, it is beyond ridiculous.

They not only take it, but say thank you afterwards. Its madness.

They dont need picks 2 and 3 in all seriousness, they need a treasure chest of picks to rebuild their list. I am trying to remove my Crows bias here. But I think if they took all our 2018 picks and 1st next year for 2 and 3, they can properly start assembling a good squad. ffs We will even give them Hamish to do their picks for this year lol. :p

Think I am joking, I would seriously entertain that thought for them to not botch it up.

Again I only want 2 and 3 if our Club rates Luko and Rankine that highly. If they DONT, they lets take all our picks and rebuild our list inside a month.:rainbow:

I wished we had put some time into considering Kade Kolodjashnij...a pick in the 50's is highway robbery.

With all these robberies taking place, Carlton must feel like idiots giving us pick 13 and McAdam for Gov.
