Then St Kilda send 8 for Steven May

Then 13 and a future first round pick to Brisbane for 5 and a future third round pick for pick

Then that is sent to Fremantle for Neale.

So we end with pick 4, 5 and 21

Hogan stays with Melbourne
Lobb gets to Fremantle for pick 13
Button and 15 for Wingard

Just making a prediction.

I'm taking that and running as quickly as possible

IMO 2 elite South Australia kids is better than 4 very good Victorian kids who could leave in 3 to 5 years anyway.

Then, and I acknowledge the odds are low but if we can grab Lukosius and Rankine will go a long way towards setting us up for the next 10 years.

Risk reward. It’s worth the gamble

Some people here just want option A which is stupid. If we keep our current picks we end up with 4 very very good players, if we trade up (which I think we will) that is likely to cut that down to 2.

What's the obsession with luko? Rankine is great, but I've seen awesome talents over the years not really become great players.
Surely 2 1st rounders is better than 1?

So long as it’s not 8 and 13 we are giving up, yes. I have no doubt both will be top ten AFL players.

Your problem today is that you are treating all first round picks equally, when it's quite clear that is not and never has been the case.

Remember when everyone thought Sam Day and Jack Watts would be guns? I'm not convinced Luko is more special than they were at the same age.
