4th rounder IMOWe could still potentially get him cheap anyway if Geelong want to dump his salary.
So... how come players are voluntarily wanting to go to Brisbane? I smell an AFL fishy rag in the waters. He and Harris Andrews will be a very good backline.

Well Geelong are pretty blunt ....so why can't Reid be just as blunt !

They finally have a decent coach and well ran by Noble.So... how come players are voluntarily wanting to go to Brisbane? I smell an AFL fishy rag in the waters.
Most footballers for as long as I can remember! Just seems strange that all of a sudden it becomes palatable. It wasn't even palatable when they'd won 3 premierships in a row!Who wouldn't want to live in God's country Jen?
That certainly wasn't the thinking when Noble was at Adelaide .....just shows, we can't really judge an administrators performance from our vantage pointThey finally have a decent coach and well ran by Noble.
It is not like stars are heading up there.
Just solid average players.

The club was well run when he was here, he's just a total pushover at the trade table. That certainly wasn't the thinking when Noble was at Adelaide .....just shows, we can't really judge an administrators performance from our vantage point
Neale isn't a solid average player, he's a star. They finally have a decent coach and well ran by Noble.

Isn't that why we got pick 12 for Charlie? The club was well run when he was here, he's just a total pushover at the trade table.
Yes. It's why we gave up a 2nd rounder for Hampton who GWS were happy to let leave too. They asked nicely because they needed points and Noble didn't fight too hard on the issue.Isn't that why we got pick 12 for Charlie?
He's done Ok at Brisbane though? .....just get the player you need ! ...Hawthorn take the same approach & often overpayThe club was well run when he was here, he's just a total pushover at the trade table.
Now, you maybe happy to stay “nothing to see here folks” but we went from being the best side in the compertition one year to missing the 8 and it has zero to do with talent or injuries as we beat Richmond with the large amount of injuries and we beat West Coast as well.
Yes, but he's at a team where the young core was set before he got there, so it's easy to do that kind of thing. Plus with guys like Neale, they're picking up top end talent. We generally looked for castoffs that we hoped would develop. He's done Ok at Brisbane though? .....just get the player you need ! ...Hawthorn take the same approach & often overpay
People really are quick to get the whipping boy and jump at them wanting blood. That certainly wasn't the thinking when Noble was at Adelaide .....just shows, we can't really judge an administrators performance from our vantage point
Think you're simply looking for excuses, not to conceded he's good at what he doesYes, but he's at a team where the young core was set before he got there, so it's easy to do that kind of thing. Gov would have been traded today under Nobes.Yes. It's why we gave up a 2nd rounder for Hampton who GWS were happy to let leave too. They asked nicely because they needed points and Noble didn't fight too hard on the issue.
Same with him not pushing the issue with the second 1st rounder for Danger and actually gave back later picks for them to use. He's of the "accept unders/offer overs to keep relations happy" type guy.
Bit easier to approach it that way in Brisbane when you are loaded with the early picks and you have access to the academy talent there. Tougher to have that approach with the Crows who "never bottom out"He's done Ok at Brisbane though? .....just get the player you need ! ...Hawthorn take the same approach & often overpay
