Right now though we are struggling the new ball isn't doing much and runs are coming easily of course if wickets fall things are better and if wickets don't Fall things are worse but all we can discuss its what's actually happening and we are in trouble right now.
England have to be perfect for another 140 runs, we need one or two perfect balls. We’ve got Lyon as an option, lunch will interrupt their flow...

This reminds me of the tour of India many years ago that created the rule change around the follow on.
Aussies leading the series, smashed india in the first innings but India romped it in after a brilliant second innings and we didn't look close in a test after that, lost the series.
This is what's happening right here.

Take it to the bank people, England are going to win this Test Match, wicket has flattened out and the ball is doing nothing.

I tip one of Bairstow/Stokes/Buttler will start blazing away very soon and it will come off.

Yeah get Patto off. Again, what would people say if Starc bowled like this?
Hazlewood had the right intent to pick wickets. In his first one or two overs with the new ball, he bowled fuller and got some nice shape on the ball. He got Bairstow to drive twice, one went for four off a clean shot and other went for a boundary off a thick outside edge. Then he wrapped Bairstow on the pads but was going down the line. He actually got the batsmen to drive but his wrong execution was that he was a bit too straight.

I was more disappointed with Cummins, didn't make an attempt to get the batsman forward at all with the new ball. He might have gone for less runs than Hazlewood with the new ball but that's because he was not bowling aggressive lines as Hazlewood was doing. Cummins is a champion bowler, but if there's one complaint that I have on him, he can waste the new ball sometimes by bowling back of length, which is his natural length.
Bairstow's innings has been pretty streaky, the bowlers just need to stay calm and avoid trying too much.
