Okay, I've been watching bigfooty for years and years and years. So here I go for my for post.
Daniher is buggered, I think, so forget that. Boring.
More importantly, we should spend our draft pick on Hayden Young. I seen him many times playing for Somerville and he's outstanding. Plays in the midfield, calculates with the ruck to an obsessive degree and has been pushed back as a result of playing for country Vic.
He is undertakes things like pilates to perfect his body (what 17 year old does that?), doesn't drink and hosted the Somerville B&F at the age of 15. Pure leader. Can kick with both feet. Adelaide met with his family months ago.
We'd be daft to miss this bloke.
Obviously, he's no Capper....

Tell us more about how good Capper was.

It was funny as, have a reread of pages 300 onwards and the level of certainty Bombers fans were ripping into each other with Daniher staying and the occasional brave body saying there might be something to the rumors. But as an aside, couldn't care less about your opinion either to be honest.
I didn’t expect anything less to be honest.

If Papley is worth 9 Daniher is worth 5 easy imo

That extra .3 of a goal extra must mean a lot to you then.
You could make a case for a straight swap on the basis of stats....if Daniher didn't have a long term injury with a poor prognosis for the rest of his career

Complete madness.

i find watching is better than the stats sheet

you think papley is better than daniher? if all players were free and you had to pick one

Can I be honest? I was fishing with my comment in the infinitesimal chance that you were indeed Capper.

I'm an eternal optimist, what can I tell you.
Capper didn’t actually write his book...that would mean he has the ability to read!

Although I love Warwick and his mental behaviour, I am not him. Having said that, my wife did surprise me with his presence at my 40th. Very funny, somewhat annoying, that's another story. That being said Hayden Young. Hi Bigfooty!

I want to hear that story some day. Welcome to the board mate.
First up dip into the draft & Trade thread, brave man.:)

Trade 1:
2020 1st round, 2019 second round and 2019 third round (42) for Daniher and their 2020 second round and fourth round
Values Daniher around pick 7.

We would take 5 and 9 (if Papley goes) to the draft (or in other trades should they emerge) and grab two top 10 talents this year and two next year.
If Jones goes for Saints 2020 second we will have enough points to cover bids at pick 5 and pick 10

Trade 2:

Assuming Papley goes for pick 9 (hopefully we a little chance our way but I won’t include that) and Jones goes for Saints 2020 2nd.

We trade 2019 1st round pick 9 and our 2020 1st round for their 2019 second round 31 and their 2020 second round. Values joe around pick 7-8 and Bombers get the optics of two two first rounders.

Then we can take 5 to the draft to get a top talent from this years pool to go with our two (est top 20) next year.

On the above trade we will walk into next year with enough points to take one at pick 5 and one at pick 12.

(Its rough crystal balling with finishing positions in 2020 of course. Is based on what I am expecting the Bombers will want rather than what I’d like which is obviously to pay less)

trade 3 the bont trade

WW has the trade period gotten you so angry

[/QUOTE]

Daniher would not have requested the trade Today if the Swans had not assured him a deal would be done considering He would have to go back there next year and play when he clearly does not want to be there. There will be posturing and pandering and pontificating for a solid 2 weeks with all the media shit in the middle but its done. Guaranteed.

Dodoro has stated the Daniher is a contracted and required player at Essendon in 2020. Yeah, good luck when he feigns injury for 12 months while you pay him 800k+ you ******* ******.

Kawhi Leonard done it for a whole NBA Season and collected 20 Million. Quite feasible he could do it if the deal didn't go through. Oh ! And it would be right Whack Dodoro !

Thanks, truly.
Hayden Young. This kid is the real deal.
I'm not related fwiw.
Yeah. I was initially boo on Young but dang, having seen some clips now. Very promising. Because really, at this point that’s all the kids are, but I wouldn’t be upset if we got him.

It really isn't "complete madness". Key forwards are more important than small forwards. Daniher has the potential to be one of the best in the league for the next 5 seasons. It does involve risk, just like signing Franklin as we did involved risk. It might not work out, but you get few opportunities to bring in a player that offers as much as Daniher. If Papley doesn't want to be here and Daniher does, then I would take that swap in an instant.

wowsers..so glad someone mentioned Young. Some will baulk at a hb-cum-midfielder...but been secretly hoping swannies take a real close look at him if opportunity/luck falls our way. That lefty looks absolutely lethal. Huge wraps from all reports i've seen.
