Can't really do much about it when the AFL has handed most of the power over to the players. Is Colin Young Fremantle acting list manager?

I think it is the Robertson character and leadership that makes him attractive to a lot of teamsI think Jackson is terrific, I'm not so sold on Robertson. Not that high anyway. Really feel we need a Stephens type
Yes but...I think it is the Robertson character and leadership that makes him attractive to a lot of teams
...yes he can playYes but...
Bedtime up here in the Caribbean... it’s probably a good ting (page refresh refresh refresh!).
Hopefully you guys and gals are all put out of your misery loooong before I wake and head straight back to this damn thread
Inclined to agree.
I have to admit I've not been a close watcher, but his most recent stats suggest he rarely finds a heap of the ball, and from what I can gather, the quality of his disposal doesn't make up for having regular sub 20 possession games.
There is obviously scope for development and improvement, and he may have been played out of position at St Kilda, but I'm wary of our recent propensity to add in fringe players hoping that we'll strike gold.
Yep, seriously what are the chances that pick 10 or another mid range draft pick are going to be of Hill's quality even in a few years? Plus a mediocre player thrown in, great. It's a deal you take for an un-contracted player wth no other choice, not one with 2 damn years left on it. What's the point of signing blokes up long term, front loaded iirc on big money when they can just leave when they feel like it? If he done his knee and could never play again this season the club would have had to pay all his money out but the contract as far as keeping them on as they signed up for is almost worthless these days.Let's ship off one of our best players and replace him with a borderline B22 player from St Kilda of all places and some draftees.
Gotta be happy with that result <insert biggest sarcasm emoji ever>
We've replaced 2 power pillars in Lyon and Rosich with a single power in Bell. I hope my negativity is going to be egg on my face but the last 6 months have been horrid.
it all completely depends what Bell wants from the draft, if they want Stephens (which i'm sure they do), then they're not going to serve him up to another team on a platterCan anyone see port doing a deal with us to get our pick 7 to get Stephens? They have 12 and 18
That’ll give us 10 (saints), 12, 18
Would also throw 2 2nd rounders at Geelong to swap for their 14
10,12,14,18 would really control that area where Henry may be picked. With a bit of luck he’s not nominated

But do we need his type or stephens type. To me the choice should be Stephens and one of Robertson/Sharp/Jackson and maybe a couple of others....yes he can play
Yup. It sucks, and no picks could replace what he brings. It's not on Bell here that we'll settle for a shit offer. It's completely triggered by Hill and an environment where players have too much power irrespective of their contractsYep, seriously what are the chances that pick 10 or another mid range draft pick are going to be of Hill's quality even in a few years? Have they picked up Jones yet?Can we wait to see what the Saints get from the Doggies for Bruce first and see if we can get that in the deal instead of 58?
10, 32, 2020 R2, Acres > Hill + 2020 R3
