If we could get multiple picks in the 11 - 28 range i'd like to see us do that. potentially even trade pick 10 for 2-3 picks in that range.
We will probably do something. I think most likely during draft night if not today. Either get in before the Henry bid or after we have matched the bid with our set picks 22 and 58. I think that is the new rule the AFL brought in to stop team trading away their existing picks when a club makes a bid.do we look to have another pick by trading some 2020 picks to try 8 or 9? or even go 23/24 if we are looking at one of Taylor, Sharp, Rivers?
West Coast
How does that benefit us if, for example, Henry is bid on at 11?If we could get multiple picks in the 11 - 28 range i'd like to see us do that. potentially even trade pick 10 for 2-3 picks in that range.
I'd bite the hand off that offering - we'd never get it though.10 for 14 and 17?
It'd depend on the points tally but the points value of 2-3 picks in that number range would be more likely to be in our favour than to detriment, also taking into account the academy discount. You'd think we'd maybe lose the 1st pick and push back the next one a couple of spots, or if there's no offer till around 18, it'd be pretty favourable. I think. How does that benefit us if, for example, Henry is bid on at 11?
AishWho is the better player? Menadue or Aish?

They need that for Jones32 and 51 for Bruce, could have held out for some more there!
This draft pool has consistently been talked about as light on for 1st round talent, the 5-30 range sounds like it's pretty even, i'd MUCH rather approach with a pool scoop a bunch of the WA boys in Robertson, Sharpe, Henry, Jackson, Taylor, Rivers etc. than 1 non-wa player at pick 10.Trading 10 down would be super silly, it means we get Henry at 14 and then get a talent at 17
keeping 10 means we get a top 10 talent and then henry at 14 if he is bid on.
In all circumstances it is better to keep 10, trading 2 seconds to get back into the 15 range could possibly be worth it though but still a risk in trading picks only to get a pick that we could have matched with lower picks anyway.
Worse team in the short term. Opportunity to be infinitely better in the medium to long termOh they overpaid, but we're definitely a worse team with him out
could have snagged 51 over 58 for better academy points thoThey need that for Jones
but it doesn't work like that, our later picks if used on henry will be bundled together to match a points value. This draft pool has consistently been talked about as light on for 1st round talent, the 5-30 range sounds like it's pretty even, i'd MUCH rather approach with a pool scoop a bunch of the WA boys in Robertson, Sharpe, Henry, Jackson, Taylor, Rivers etc. than 1 non-wa player at pick 10.

22 and 58 covers the Henry bid, that's all we needed and some late stuff to protect us if an academy kid we want gets bid on in the main draft.could have snagged 51 over 58 for better academy points tho
58 gets butler done for saints still
