With Greenwood and Keath, I expect we’ll try and advance our current 20’s picks into the first round.

Sounds like a very even 1st round after the first 2-3 picks.

If we can manufacture 2 other 1st rounders we’re probably more comfortable drafting Brodie Kemp at 3.

Dogs have Pick 12, 30, 41, 46 and 48 .They're not going to be keen on letting Pick 12 go I wouldn't think and IMO pick 30 is probably a bit light on.

Given Lewis Young a SA lad is competing for the spot Keath likely takes maybe our best move might be to somehow work him into the trade. We are a bit skinny for Key Defenders and Young at 21 is in the right age bracket for a revitalisation of our list. I would think Young would see the writing on the wall with Keath's likely addition to their list and be up for a move home.

Nope, Keath and P26 rates Keaths value around P36, so Keath and 26 is more than enough. 26 will get them Bruce.

It's likely that Murphy is the only rookie we upgrade this year. Hunter is gone. CEY is likely to follow. Wilson will be retained on the rookie list, along with Butts and Strachan. It's senior list positions we need to fill.

I love THE MIGHTY THOR and I expect him to become a top shelf AFL midfielder next year but at least we have several inside mids on our list.

We have two key defenders on our list, Talia and Hartigan (possibly a poor man’s key defender). Doedee is a “third tall defender” coming back from an ACL (all be it a superb third tall defender). Andy Otten has retired and Jordan Butts is a very promising underweight key defender. He was 198 cm and 83 kg at the start of the season and whilst I have been a huge fan, he is a fair distance from being AFL ready. I recall him being ragdolled by Tobin Cox earlier this year (Tobin is a 181 cm, 73 kg Pear rookie).

My point is we are really, really vulnerable if we lose one of our two key defenders to injury next year. I presumed that Francis was signed sealed and delivered - Wrong. Letting Keath go seems like really dumb list management. Surely we have someone up our sleeve or maybe we are just clueless.

correct but I would think we are getting some later picks for Betts, Jacobs and Jenkins. Heck if we were short picks, we could swap 26 for 2 inside the top 40

Not unless we're desperately short on draft picks. The club likes to leave players on the rookie list for as long as possible, and Butts has only been there for 12 months.

Most posters here are keen to see Mackay delisted, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Knight off our list in 2020 as well. That's possible. Any way you care to look at it, he's the most likely player to be promoted off the rookie list.
