Take this as gospel (from someone who has spoken directly to Reid about this), we did the pick swap last year for a shot at Anderson, which hinged on Carlton finishing bottom 2 obviously. A gamble worth taking given their history, and didn’t expect the ridiculous concessions given to the GC.

The quality of the draft from 3-20 is very even and if we truly believe the talent we want is likely to fall to a teens pick, then the trade makes sense (which is probably complete bs right now anyway).

Its not bull shit and it will happen before trade period end.

None of that makes him a bad footballer, if you'd watched the SANFL finals you'd know that.

But the crows always take players who are top 10 in one of the tests .....never nearly bottom of testing ...and certainly not with a 1st round pick

I'd much prefer we kept our pick 4 and for the love of God I don't want to hear about how good a family the potential recruit comes from.

I don't give 2 f#$@$ what type of family the recruit has, in fact I almost lean in the opposite direction. Having a tough and imperfect upbringing may well drive the recruit to want to succeed even more. It may make the recruit more ruthless in wanting success.
