Family reasons. They are struggling with the twins and his wife wants to be close to her family for extra support. It was always their plan for after football, I guess that the twins have brought that forward. Pretty understandable I would have thought

I think we’d probably need to incentivise Sydney more otherwise they’d just want to do the 12 & 18 for their pick 5 straight with gws. But obviously gws want our pick 4 because they know Hamish will bid on Greene.

GWS give picks 12, 18, & Hately (or 2020 1st rd)

Everyone wins. GWS are obviously giving up a bit but they will end up with 2 top 5 quality players so they should pay up big.

Honestly if I were GWS, I'd do this.

They'll add Green regardless, and he basically joins Taranto and Hopper to form an incredible trio of inside bulls.

This immediately makes Bonar and Hately expensive assets which may be excess to needs, outside of depth and development.

Bonar has genuine scope as a powerful half forward mid hybrid, so I imagine they'd be keen to hold onto him.

Hately ends up being the one either shunted to a wing (which he really doesn't have the disposal for) or the twos.

GWS then pick up Cripps lite in Green, and Ash or Young to replace Shaw.

If I were GWS I would be all over that. Makes an elite core of players even better.

Where are these points coming from unless they trade out a player/s for picks cos picks 40, 58, etc won't get it done? Am I missing something here?

You can push the points over into next year so it why they'll trade their 1st next year so they can use their 2nd and 3rd next year as points collateral too

But does Kemp find enough of the ball ? ....if you struggle at junior level, how does that translate to AFL ?.....not a statement, but a question

If you just look at the raw numbers they're deceptive....Kemp has spent large portions of a lot of his games playing half forward and half back as well as midfield minutes, of course if you compare him with blokes like Rowell who play almost permanent midfield you would get that impression. That's the beauty of Kemp he's a true mid/utility that offers versatility few AFL footballers have. Surely you've noticed this year Bontompelli has spent periods of games playing forward as well as midfield this season?
