So Nicks says Brouch wants to stay.

Danger says he would like Brouch at the Cats, as would any club as he is a gun.

So is it a case of we can get #2 compo we let him go, but otherwise we keep him?

Is kruezer the same as tom lynch?
so... i take it you can’t then... is it just the “vibe” you get?... or is this coming from the same section of your brain that blurted out “the two draftees, Hollands and Phillips, are already better than Brad Crouch“ the other day?..

Im hoping this will happen but i doubt it will.
I agree and me to Holland’s McDonald Bruno BUT

that means we be taking two picks in top ten in a reabuild that

holland recent acl
brunn has been injured all of this and last year

hollands Bruno gonna be absolute class with capital C Bruno some rate best inside mid if can get body right. So I’m all in and all r bbecoming possible if get brad compo
QUESTION _
would Adelaide have the balls to do it! That’s the issue

You folks have never seen a root & branch rebuild before, so take this from someone who has seen a couple.

You get your bookends sorted out first as they take longer to develop, then you go after the mids.

The Crows want Tilthorpe/Logan & Grainger-Barras/Cox, then round it out with Edwards & one of the spec mids in this draft.

Come back next year for Horne as your premium midfielder (see below), and another one to go with him. Round it out with some flankers/small forwards.

Come back again in 2022 for more midfielders. The year after you should see the beginnings of a rise.

If you go for midfielders now and neglect your KPP's then your list is going to be out of whack in 3 years time.

Agree. Can you send this to the people running our club as I don't have any faith that they have a clue how to manage a list let alone rebuild it.

Horne looks like a young Gary Ablett.

Jeebus. Horne looks like an absolute jet. That’s an underager playing sanfl. I will gladly watch us lose the next 30 games in a row if we add this guy to the list.

All I want is hybrid midfielders with good speed, kick and potential (an Elliot Yeo type, actually pretty much all of the eagles on-ballers), not readier-made accumulators.

He definitely catches the eye. There's no easy path to a significant rebuild, but you must get the talls sorted out first, and there's quality tall forwards and defenders there for the taking this year. Tilthorpe is a no brainer as a KPF, and you might miss out on Grainger-Barass for your future defence, but this kid should be thereabouts for your second pick:

Word is that he would have been a leading candidate to captain Vic Metro this year. There's your bookends set for the next 12-15 years.

You can then look at adding Edwards and possibly Tom Powell with the remaining picks.

Come back after this and load up on midfielders for a few drafts.

Na we have Butts , MCAsey , Worrell whom are key post players. May nab the guy at the Bays as a forward who did his knee again this year on the cheap. He was projecting to be the same type of player as McDonald in the West.

I'd happily take O'Driscoll higher than most would, along with McDonald who looks too good to ignore. I'd love a fit Bruhn, but too big a risk in a rebuild imo. Hollands looks good but not enough midfield minutes to prove he can be an A grade mid and the ACL drops him down a few picks. Phillips is good but we need some speed and x factor. Powell and Poulter are possible in the second round, I'd probably lean towards Powell and I just feel like you could build a midfield around him if he keeps tracking on his current development path.

At this stage I think our biggest focus should be Horne in 2021 and I'd be doing everything I could to ensure we have good position in next years draft. We messed up in 2018, we cannot afford to let Horne go anywhere other than our club (assuming he continues to track, but looks like he will).

Would leave us with a young midfield group in 2022 of at least

Jones
Schoenburg
O'Connor
O'Driscoll
Powell
Horne
Edwards (maybe)

Add in Keays as a tough mature workhorse and potentially (allowing for development) that's not a bad midfield mix.

I haven't see the posts - has FAITH acknowledged the irony of him dismissing Lukosius on the exact night Luko absolutely tears it up with 800+m gained?

It feels like remarkably bad timing to go back to those dumb 2018 opinions that most of us had forgotten.

Yep philips is handball, handball, handball. So f*n over those types of players.
Exactly my thought after watching Phillips play .....we need a midfielder with some height, and toe to break the lines, and actually become a danger by foot

We need another Simon Goodwin

Last year at the draft I think Hamish mentioned that we might try and trade our 2021 first pick into this years draft.

What would another team have to give up to get that and what would we want, ie would the deal need to at least include a next years first rounder in it?

Does anyone remember the sort of proposals we were looking at to try and get a pick for luko/rankine/rozee?
Hamish is an overrated hack.

Do you think that Adelaide has future premiership quality KPP's already in place?
