I posted an interview with him early this afternoon, this thread .....listen carefully, and you'll be in no doubt he'd love to go to the Crows IF nominated by the club
Hang on, was that the interview with the young fella? I have listened to that before.

How does the nomination work. I thought a F/S had to elect if he wanted to be drafted to a specific club, not the other way round?

With the Edwards it'll be a bit of cat & mouse .....Luke won't nominate Adelaide till he knows Adelaide will nominate him .....won't want to be publicly embarrassed

Yeah, that interview all but said he'd nominate. Especially if you were a 2nd round onwards type, you'd be mad not to take an easy path onto a list.

Any idea how he's looking .....last year he looked a bit uncordinated, like a baby Giraffe
Bugger all coverage of the SANFL reserves this year, not even making the stats available, if indeed they're doing stats.

I've seen on the Sturt website he's made the bests a couple of times...that's it.

Should we trade Sloane? Might be a good fit for Saints.
Would get another first rounder.
Would do it purely for salary cap relief. Target a top line KPP or elite mid around the 22 -23 age bracket. A Talia replacement with speed, athleticism and elite kicking is greatly needed. But then again so is a top line mid with some experience to guide the young lads.

I can't see us not taking him if he and his family are OK with it. He's by far the best father/son we've had come through and I doubt we'd have to use a pick inside our 1st 3 to secure him even if a bid comes for him.

Yep, a no brainer .....they'll want him to fall after the first 4 ideally ....after #28 might be stretching it though

Maybe that #28

Thoughts on the Academy player .... Tariek Newchurch

Do we take a risk on Kane Baldwin ??

Newchurch is a very flashy player but from my observations this year hangs off the contest too much for my liking. I can see why his highlight reel looks so impressive because it's rare for him to not have a couple of moments every game that make you take notice but I want more across a whole game from him than I've seen thus far to get me really excited.

I've not seen enough of Baldwin to pass any sort of fair judgement...can't see him going 1st round now with his injury history, at least Aiden Bonar who was in a similar boat re the knee recos was back playing footy to a high level whereas Baldwin is completely an unknown and it will all be down to club medicos assessments.

I last read he is 194cm. Good size for a FB.
I see him as a strong bodied lock down type to complement aerial intercepting McAsey.
Yep, that's a good read .....hope he's quicker off the mark than Talia.

He's certainly got the family genes to be athletically gifted .....really hard to judge a 17 YO tall last year

Aaron Hall type player ??

Can see Baldwin dropping to the 3rd round now

Only watched him in U17 match last year and he looked plenty agile enough.
It was his kicking which was the main knock which I'm not too fussed if he works on it at AFL level because we have good ball users around him (assume Brown, Kelly, Hartigan and co gone by the time he comes through)
