OMG, he does know they are playing on grass and dirt doesn't he and not glass/metal and why didn't the Geelong players "fumble" if the ball got "greasy".
They know the ball is going to be slippery from all their excess oil, so naturally they apply a sticky substance to their hands.

If Hawkins can turn his career around after a bad injury and play some of the best footy of his career at 32, why cant Tex? This is assuming our midfield makes improvements over the next couple of years, which I know is a big assumption.

So Kenny what do you think of tonights performance?

And that is important as it means if they drop another one, they can lose top spot. This is when the pressure starts to build. As it is West Coast can catch them as can Brisbane as both only have 3 losses. Both of them have reasonable draws as well but Brisbane’s is more favourable.
They could already lose top spot this week if Brisbane beat North by around 10 goals.

So we have 2 good years, need a rebuild.
Geelong have 15 great years in a row, no need for a rebuild.
15 great years in a row? Since their 2011 flag their finals record is horrid, something our supporters blast the Crows for. They have also been a middling team at times. Their best players are still those 30 and above (some reaching mid 30s), they absolutely need to win it either this year or next before the fall comes.

Because Tex has never been a good mark. The only way he would extend his career is if he became a strong marking full forward like Hawkins is. But he is too slow and can't put two arms up for a mark now.
Has shown no signs of making a remarkable recovery from his many ailments over past 3 years.

Hass has ****ed him sadly. Ditto Sloane.

Yep, completely different sort of player. Hawkins has always been a marking beast.

Not only that, but I don't think Hawkins was mentally cooked at any point, more his body was letting him down

Hawkins has always been a great mark on the lead, just like Tex. Hawkins looked absolutely cooked at 30 years old too. Yes, Tex has never had the same contested marking ability, but I’m just saying you can’t completely write him off yet. Unfortunately, due to the dire state of our midfield it makes it more difficult to have a late career resurgence, but there is evidence that it can happen.

Tex is two years younger than Hawkins, we were all saying the same about Hawkins two years ago. Heck, some media people were calling for Hawkins to retire earlier this season!

Do you think Tex is mentally cooked?
Yes, the way the media have gone after him post 2017 has made it difficult for him.

Plus he's got chronic leg problems that have killed his game.
