So Anderson averaged 136kp/h last night. By some distance his best average over an innings (yes I know the innings isn’t over) since 2014.

I’d have thought at 64 years of age or whatever he is Anderson would have learned as much as he needs to and could just run in with the shackles off and bowl his hardest. Heaven for bid a kid with 10 tests tries to figure out new methods of taking wickets beyond ‘just run in and bowl at 155kph every ball.’

Despite missing hours of play during this English summer due to bad light they're still not trying to make up overs in England in the morning rather than in the evening.

Because one player is a quality bowler and the other one only has pace. It’s like comparing McGrath and Lee. Mitchell Starc bowling 130 is useless, James Anderson hooping it at 130 is dangerous.
The whole problem is archer can’t get batsman out bowling consistently, he is simply bowl short and fast. If he’s just trundling in he has nothing.

starc bowled like the wind in Perth to Amla and devilliers and got treated like a c grader. Why? Because he did nothing with it. If he swung it at 135 like he can at high pace he’d be lethal still.
your team is notoriously rubbish if conditions are favouring their bowlers. I’d have thought wanting one of your brightest prospects to add more to his repertoire than just ‘running in and flinging it’ would be in their interests
I'd like to be the 100th person to ask on here why they don't start early in England to make up time.
