You reckon Sarah Palin was picked to run on the ticket because of her deep foreign policy accumen?
She could see Russia from where she lived though.:)

I for one am glad it is Harris, smart lady.

I am unsure about the Harris selection, I can't see how it helps the Democrats win back the states that Trump flipped in 2016 and I don't know if she is particularly well liked, given her own presidential campaign.

LIE! Harris did not call Biden a racist and this is the second time you have posted it, even if you keep posting it, it won't make it any truer.

You are just like the buffoon you blindly follow.

I see it as a positive that he selected her, not holding grudges like you know who would.
"I don't think you are racist BUT (proceeds to call him racist)" :tearsofjoy:

Could help win over a lot of the Sanders supporters that didn't vote Clinton in 2016.

It is awkward, very much like a devout principled christian defending his candidate for multiple sexual assault allegations. This contest between candidates has more in common with each other than it appears.

I hadn't realised before, but it really does have alot of parallels.

Thanks to the usual crew of BF luminaries for opening my eyes to this :tearsofjoy:

Maybe... but I have a feeling her record as a prosecutor is going to come under some scrutiny:

As both a former prosecutor and the lone Black woman in the Senate, Harris found herself at the center of a growing national debate over racial and social justice issues. Even as she has sought to cast herself as a “progressive prosecutor,” her prosecutorial record has drawn scrutiny from progressives who derisively labeled her a “cop” during her presidential run.

That record included fighting to keep people in prison in certain cases where there was evidence of wrongful conviction and shying away from investigating police shootings.

Do you honestly think Trump would have excluded a black woman if he thought she was the best VP option? I don't. That's the difference here. The dems stated terms of reference excluded 93% of Americans

Hahaha is this a serious question? Yes, all day every day and twice on sundays :tearsofjoy:

Not because he's racist necessarily, but because a fair slab of his base would prefer someone like Pence over a black woman.

The evidence is exactly the same as the evidence used to not label everyone at the BLM riots as left wing domestic terrorists.

You do understand that "Black Lives Matter" doesn't mean white lives don't matter, right? Just like pro-white advocacy doesn't mean white supremacy.

This is the entire point of why some people feel the need to say it's okay to be white, because there is a significant movement against it.
Yes, just as fighting for slavery was just good ol' pro-white advocacy, and Jim Crow was good ol' pro-white advocacy, and fighting tooth and nail against civil rights was just good ol' pro-white advocacy, I mean those poor ol' whites have had a hell of a time in that black mans' America, haven't they?

There is no movement against it being okay to be white, don't let the white supremacist movement delude you into thinking so

Amy Klobuchar was more popular than Harris and seemingly a better politician.

But she didn't have the extra spice of Warren's native American claims of heritage or the skin colour of Harris.

Racism swinging back the other way doesn't make it ok, it sends the problem down the line.

Cruz and Rubio more popular than Pence last time round.

But they didn't have Pence's ultra-religious white guy vibe.

This is not the outrage you're looking for.

That is basic American Politics 101. Quite often it's geographical, this time it's demographic.

That he doesn't understand that is rather telling.

The only thing Trump cares about is Trump.

You really think he would do something which didnt put Trump first?

Trees and forests...

Exactly - and Trump wanted to be POTUS. Pence was picked to make that outcome more likely.

You guys reckon he would consider picking a VP that would make his election less likely? Just because they happened to be better or more qualified than other options? I errr.. don't think you've been paying much attention the last 3 years :tearsofjoy:

No politician in the world would do that, least of all Donald ****ing Trump :tearsofjoy:

Just shoring up the black women voting base, which is the Democrats' biggest voting demo. She was always the most obvious choice

Man, being black AND a woman, that's gonna make the GOP wingnuts froth at the mouth in their rage. You think Obama being black was bad enough for them

Not to mention she can be president by default any day since Biden could just drop dead anytime

Facts - how many Veeps has he appointed?

Remember this question is whether Trump would appoint a black Veep - evidence of appointing people in the private sector shouldn't be the key contributing factor you think it is.
What would be the contributing factors then?
