Great disposal by foot
So despite what I said to myself that there's no point watching highlights of Daicos, I watched anyway.

Pretty clear from the respective highlights packages that Daicos has the edge over Horne-Francis in the foot skills, equally evident though that Horne-Francis has the better leap and overhead skills, especially in pack mark situations.

Daicos also seemed to be receiving the ball, team mates looking to free him up a lot. Having said that, he has racked up some impressive possession tallies, surely not all on the outside.

From the very little I have seen (which is more of an impression really) H-F comes across as a slightly undersized, courageous, tenacious HF bull (dangerfieldesque) and Daicos comes across a silky centreman/rover with vision and silky foot skills.

Surely we’d be crazy not to go at least a couple of talls somewhere in this draft.
I'd like us to select a couple of KPDs. Guys like Sam Taylor, Noah Bolta, Tom McCartin, Charlie Ballard & Brennan Cox were taken in the late 20s - 40s.

If Dumont, Atley & Polec leave, I hope we shuffle those picks into some picks in the 20s and 30s and nail some tall defenders.

If we can get the Dog's first rounder, I'd still use that and pick 20 on a running half back and winger.

Not sure what Daicos is like, but Horne tackles like a savage.

I don't think there's any right or wrong answer around who the best prospect is at this stage. They just look completely different players.

Honestly, if both were in the open draft I reckon this place would be pulling itself raw about Daicos. Look how Hollands captured the imagination last year.

That's not to say Horne would've been disregarded as chopped liver but come on, a local slick moving, deftly skilled dual-sided high accumulator would've been everyone's wet dream.

I hope but know it's futile that Daicos won't get run down into some sort of chip gathering seagull just because he's off limits to us. Can only guess how a random twitter account will see it.

Fail to see how we don't make him No. 1, at worst make that club bleed for him

van Rooyen lining up at CHB. Does he fit the bill? He has always been spoken about as a forward. How does he compare to the other KPD's in the draft?

Your last paragraph is spot on.

Anyone with half a brain could see that this started happening as soon as it became apparent that footballing circles started talking up Daicos as a legit No.1 contender.

Surprise, surprise, that talk has basically disappeared recently.
